This place is horrible honestly serving lil ass wings that look like they came off of a sick ass chicken, the potatoe salad still had the potatoe skin on them, and were bland as hell, and she rushed people to pay for their order before even seeing the food which is insane to me so yeah 1 time and 1 time only for me sorry sis, but that food was super trash gotta be honest and yes I cook very well...

Unfortunately we missed our usual Saturday spot. The church at 12th and Poplar. Decided to try this place. We ordered turkey wings smothered in gravy. No gravy on them. I don't care what anyone says the sweet potatoes are definitely canned. They taste like they just added sugar and a little cinnamon. No nutmeg, butter, or brown sugar. Potato salad was awful. The greens didn't taste like they were cooked in smoked turkey. Adding a bunch of red pepper flakes didn't help. I've never ordered soul food and cornbread or some kind of bread wasn't offered. Judging by the rest of the food I didn't miss anything. I try to always spend my money with my people. Somehow the BBQ -soul food place on Broad st (Asian owned) is a much better option. I read the reply. I did call. The cashier acknowledged that she forgot to tell him to smother in gravy. I wasn't going to drive a half hour back and that's if traffic is light. You are definitely thinking of a different customer because you weren't in the kitchen when I was there. You were sitting at the table on your phone. Keeping my people from wasting their money is helping my people. We'll continue to patronize black owned businesses that actually know how to cook

For starters, the food is excellent from Sy’s Palace it also have great service from Miss Sy. You also get the experience to meet your cook and she comes with great manners, Cooking your food to your liking. The second she asked me how would I like my food made so it was made to my liking I had salmon candy yams, and rice. Everything was seasoned to the tea so overall I’ll give them a 10 out of 10 and I will be back for more so go try it.
