Little hidden gem found by Mikey Chen on YouTube! Their hot noodle (peanut noodle) $3 and HK wonton soup $3 was spot on! Only 3 tables and chicken feet sitting on the table and only cash and no tip at this restaurant. All disposable dishes and u have to buy water. Food is delicious though and so cheap!

This little place isn't for everyone. It's in the heart of Chinatown in Philly. It's not really a tourist place. It's very small and only seats like 10 people. It's very authentic. They even had those little stools that are about a foot off the ground. Makes you think you are in China. The food is so delicious. Tender and so flavorful. I would have never ventured in except there is a dumpling guy on YouTube that did a review on the place and he was definitely right. Good prices and delicious food.

We came as tourists and this store did not disappoint! Affordable, quick, and delicious- we got steamed and fried dumplings and the peanut noodles. We were very overwhelmed by all the Chinatown choices and are glad we picked right!

Stopped by here after watching Strictly Dumpling's video on YouTube and I'm really glad I did. I've walked by this place many times not knowing how delicious their food is. Needed a quick meal while running errands, so I picked up an order of hot noodles and wonton soup. Absolutely delicious! Noodles were definitely hand made and the sauce was flavorful with just a light hint of peanut. The broth for the soup was hot (perfect for randomly cold Philly days) and with the right amount of saltiness with meaty wontons. And all for $6!

Unbeatable prices, for $10 you can get noodles and dumplings, so yummy. It’s small inside but it’s a good place to get food if you’re on the move

The real Fuzhou street food.

Like what other comments have mentioned, the restaurant is low-key, hole in the wall kind of restaurant.I called to oder their Chow Mei Fun (which is stir fry rice noodles) and the Steamed Dumplings and they have it ready within 15 mins when i arrived.*Chow Mei Fun* was very flavorful despite it's light apperance. It wasn't really heavily seasoned, but you can definitely taste the wok hay with a slight hint of smokiness. Really big portion for $7.50*Steamed Dumplings* savory meat in nicely poufed buns. Sauce was not necessary for me. I love how affordable it was ( 7 buns for $4.5)I came back the next day to try their Beef Tripe Noodle Soup. The soup was a bit blend then what i expected but still delicious. There were plenty of beef tripe and vegies in the soup. Again, big portion for one. ($7)Would recommend this place if you're ever in Philly Chinatown.

You pay for what you get. Certain items on the menu were delightful and there were some items that weren't very memorable. I would recommend the peanut butter noodles. Great flavor and super simple. The fried dumplings were the star. They were abundantly filled with veggies and meat and the flavor was amazing. The turnip cake was delicious as well. Great fry and soft interior. Honestly wasn't a fan of the wonton soup. But overall, everything was super cheap and the woman made it super quickly right in front of us. Definitely try the fried dumplings. I'll be thinking about those for a while!

What a hidden gem! My bf and I walked in Saturday night to grab some famous wonton soup Hong Kong style soup and it was amazing...and only $3! The very next day we came back to order their steamed dumplings and taro cake. They came out the same minute we sat down. The dumplings were juicy, incredible and only $4.50! The taro cake was very tasty and savory as well. Cannot wait to go back and try their famous $3 peanut noodles!

Ordered the steamed dumplings, peanut sauce noodles, wonton soup, and fried taro cake. This place satisfies cravings and taste like good home cooking. The group of us just wanted a snack and decided to eat in the small shop. The owner came out and mixed our noodles for us. How sweet.

I've been to Chinese Restaurant (aka Tai Jiang) about 15 times and still manage to walk right by it and miss it. It is so small and unassuming. I kind of love that about it. They've got a menu of deliciously soothing and cheap eats, less than 30 options. Plus, they open at 9am. Consider your lunch, dinner, and snacking needs covered. Everything I've had I've enjoyed, and enjoyed again. They're slinging intensely crave-able eats over here! I relish every bite. Favorites of mine include: -hot noodles with peanut sauce and scallions -taro cake -oyster pancake -fried dough -steamed dumplings -fried dumplings If you are put off by "dingy places" with "no vibe" this is NOT the spot for you. I think it's a modest little 350 square foot pod of magic and mystery producing homey deliciousness, but that's just me. Oh, and FYI: the lovely lady doesn't speak any English, but a man who I believe is her son does. Lastly, their food DOES NOT travel that well. So avoid going too far with your haul if you can. *Deleted and reposted due to errors.
