Incredibly good food. The real deal. Spicy level 7 is nothing to toy with. I'm from Texas, and this is HOT! Very nice woman took my order and the food was very prompt. Probably the best Thai food I've had in my life.

Flavors are on point! My favorite are the ginger curry & flat noodles. Super fast delivery. I appreciate that they call to clarify my orders if they have any questions. I'm a loyal fan!

Went to this place for lunch and it did not disappoint! Had vegetarian spring rolls ,they were great. I ordered red curry , the tofu in the curry was so soft, amazing in taste. For tofu alone, I can visit this place again! My friend ordered the Tom yum soup and it was great too. My other friends ordered Mock Duck, Vegetable Radna , all equally great. Overall the food was great with large portions, also you can make it spicy based on experience, they even have options which are Jain (no onions, no garlic) which was an added bonus. I would recommend this place if you are looking for great Thai food!

The food is really good. If you’re a fish eater I’d suggest the teardrop red snapper. Top tier (chef’s kiss). Oh yea the staff, they are friendly and pleasant.

Easily the worst vegetarian Thai food I've ever had in my life. The curries were so bland and watery I couldn't even tell the difference between them. I had to add extra spices, curry powder, etc. and hot sauce to even make it palatable. Literally have never done that in my life, but I guess there's a first time for everything. The veggies seemed like they had been pre-cooked separately and were just thrown in with the "sauce" at the last minute, so they didn't have any flavor of the sauce cooked into them. The potatoes were completely white - when have you ever seen that in a curry?? Even worse, half of the "veggies" were those depressing, flavorless, grey, canned bamboo shoots. The fried tofu appetizer had zero flavor and neither did the satay sauce with it! Just baffling. I've never had satay sauce that had no flavor before. It didn't even have enough salt! The entrees came in normal plastic takeout containers, but the rice was in a styrofoam box (the kind that just folds shut and doesn't seal at all), which means it will dry out as hard as a rock in the fridge within the hour. Such an annoying waste of time because you have to immediately transfer the rice to another container, and extra wasteful because it's just trash and not even reusable or recyclable.

I ordered food from their website and never received it, when I called to find out why, they said my food was made and they are waiting for doordash to deliver it and it's not their fault since a third party delivers for them and I should call them and request a credit. Well that should be a customers problem who you chose to deliver your food, you are responsible to stand behind your website delivery. If you cannot do that, then you should not provide deliver from your website. I have disputed the charge with my credit card and will not order delivery again.

We used to really like Tamarind pre-pandemic. We dined in recently for the first time and it was a terrible experience. There was no AC and the only 2 fans in the restaurant were being used for another party. It must’ve been close to 90 degrees inside. There was 1 waiter who checked in on us once. When I mentioned the temperature she mumbled “sorry can’t do anything” and walked away.I’m giving 2 stars because food was fine. Noodle dishes are pretty decent but the meat dish was dry and our appetizer was under-seasoned. It’s not good enough for me to consider going back after this experience.

The food is okay, but in September, 2022, they dropped the portion size by 50%. When I called to see if it was a mistake, they got very obnoxious, insisted that they hadn't changed the size, and shouted at me. Here's a picture of a $16 entree. $100 for dinner and it won't feed four people.

I just wanted to update my review to say this - I moved away from Philly over 4 years ago. I still think about the green curry from Tamarind. I have hunted and hunted for a replacement and cannot find one that even comes close. I will forever miss this place and love it. It haunts my dreams, man. Why is it so good? Can the chef teach others? Can you mail order it to my home in Pittsburgh? Will I ever be satisfied again? I miss you, Tamarind. Love always, me.

Best pad Thai on the eastern seaboard. Sometimes a little sweet, but just ask the kitchen to tone it down a bit
