We had a long layover in Philadelphia and decided a short break in south Philly for food and beverage was worth the $20 one way Uber trip. It was a Monday and after careful scrutiny of google food options, settled on Tap room on 19th for the good reviews, menu and draft beer list. We arrived right after 12:00 opening and found a lightly busy establishment and stayed for several hours. We loved the place, the owners, and the locals who stopped in, and chatted with us. Great corner bar with very good food. Friendly staff, nice atmosphere, good stop for cocktails and for lunch or dinner.
Parking: This is in the city so it's all street parking. If you live in the neighborhood walking is a better option. Otherwise you can usually find a spot within a couple of blocks.
