Taste Cheesesteak Bar

Taste did not disappoint. We were less than impressed with the food in Philly until someone recommended Taste to us. The food was delicious! I highly recommend you try this place if you're ever in Philly. Uber drivers will refer you to other places, but this is a hidden gem you don't want to miss! 10/10

The oxtail cheese steak was great but I ordered a regular cheesesteak a was very disappointed. I ordered a regular cheesesteak and didn’t get what I asked for. I actually got more toppings that I didn’t even want. I guess everyone else’s cheese steak got mixed in with mine. Other than that the service was ok.

Out of towner visiting Philadelphia and stopped in Taste Cheesesteak Bar and was very glad we did. Food was very tasty -- had a jerk chicken cheesesteak and the classic beef cheesesteak. Nice experience and location with some great flavors!

Some friends and I went to the taste bar to order some steaks and fries. Ironically, we all order the same meal. We wanted to try the Oxtail Cheesesteak with the Salmon French Fries. I was not dissapointed with the quality and quantity of the food.
The atmosphere was chill and laid back. The indoor dining area is a little tight as far as for room but there is also an outdoor seating area as well. Where we were seated became packed with people in less than 15 minutes. People were coming in by groups.
The service was amazing our hostess name was Stephanie who guides us with all the answers we did have some questions since it was our first time there.
Overall it was good. I would like to eat outside in the patio next time.

Quran was an amazing bartender and the drinks were delicious and tasty. The food was absolutely delicious from the Oxtail cheesesteak to the salmon cheesesteak fries. We are here for a conference all week and we are going to recommend that the 1,500 attendees come to Taste for the best cheesesteak in Philly.

The cheese steaks are MASSIVE. When I opened the container I was amazing to have so so so much food for only $16. I was only able to finish a little more than half cause it’s that big. The cheese steak was also well seasoned and phenomenal. Highly recommend this place!

The food is amazing ! Steaks are very meaty they give you more than enough! Fresh bread and the atmosphere is a fun bar vibe . My only complaint is that they are not on uber eats or door dash. Parking is too hard to find in that area and I want to order in. Please get uber eats. Update! Yall on u er eats now but there is no option to order fries! Why? Yall changed the fries and they are amazing now. I forgot to mention that the other ones were not good. Steaks are consistently good. Well seasoned and great portions. Fresh taste. Best cheesesteaks in Philly!!!!!!

My uber driver Kenneth recommend this place after I told him about an earlier (just ok)experience at another popular spot. Taste did not disappoint, my cheesesteak was cooked fresh, my rum punch was made fresh, the music was cool and college football was playing....it was a vibe for me, Lakia took great care of me, tell her Johnnie from Atlanta sent you!!!!

The very first time I tried the food it was great. I recommended it to several people who also enjoyed it. Since then I've returned on several occasions, with the last two times leaving me torn on whether I should be bother with them ever again. The first of the two occasions dined in for the second time. It was busy but I was quickly seated. My waitress for my table never showed up. Eventually after about 20 to 25 minutes later The waitress for another asked had I been helped and I said no. So she took my order. So having waited so long already Iwas already frustrated. My food came and it was good but the service was absolutely horrendous. As I was finishing up the actual waitress for my table shows up and asked if there was anything I needed and I said no because I was done. Where was she all that time? SMH. The second time I decided to do takeout so I invited a friend. I ordered our food at the kiosk and we were given a number. We waited and waited other people came way after we did and ordered so I assumed they would get their food after me. That wasn't the case, several people that came after were served their food before me and when I asked was food ready they said not yet. I didn't understand that at all. The when I saw what appeard to be the two sandwiches we had ordered come to the counter the woman behind the seeing that I was visibly frustrated decide to piss me off by having a conversation on the side while bagging my order as slow as possible. Actually taking the time to stop bagging the order and talking while putting items in one at time then stopping to talk. So she put a sandwich in, stop and talk, put the other sandwich in stop and talk, one fork stop and talk. Well you get the picture I was pissed. So yeah they're customer service blows. After writing this review and thinking about it. I'll never go back there again. Good food at a restaurant is important but so is treating people with respect. Just an aside I talked to someone who was just there recently and they said the food tucked. SoI think one thing begets the other bad service eventually equals bad food. I'm done.

We came to Taste Cheesesteak for their oxtail cheesteaks - me personally along with my brother are huge oxtail lovers and our experience was not what we expected when it comes to oxtails. The meat was more like chuck roast it was almost like eating a roast beef cheesesteak and not quite oxtail. It was definitely not what we are familiar with nor expected. Dont get me wrong, the sandwich was good but did not meet our expectations.

After many great reviews I've seen, I decided to try this place out 2weeks ago and I'm glad I did ! I ordered the oxtail cheesesteak with fries and it was really good! Honestly, this thing was big enough for 2 people so I shared half of it with my husband. Great customer service and great atmosphere! I'd highly recommend visiting here!
