Outside and inside looks nothing like a place where food is served. I never ate here before. I ordered food online and when I arrived to pick food up, i thought I was at the wrong place. It looks like a place where you get your income taxes done. I took 1 bite of food just to not judge a book by its cover. I didn't eat the rest. Good note is that there's plenty of chairs for you to sit down and wait for the trolley.

This is definitely an establishment for young people , music so loud they can’t hear your order hookah everywhere , people just hanging out as well as the employees, I specifically asked for white meat and was given a chicken leg , my food sat on the counter for approximately 10 -15 minutes as I asked several times about my food and was told that it’s coming. I will not go there again, however my young adult children speak very highly of the food.

Delish. From the fish to the lamb. So polite, as if my order could be change and they didn't have a problem with it. They changed it. I tipped for the inconveniences. Great place will visit again.

Never actually been theer but have eaten their food once and the food was awesome...i had the lamb platter with jollof rice omg it was so good...my wife said she wouldn't eat from there because we never had food from there, but when she tasted my lamb i could not get her to stop wanting and eating it...idk about their service or the place itself dine in or out but what i do know is that their food is damn good and for it being my first time ever eating from there i am convinced i will go back...hope the food tasting good stays the same

We tried Taste Africa for dinner. The restaurant is run by brothers from Sierra Leone & they are quite friendly. 1. Grilled meat (lamb? goat?) with sauteed onions was okay. Even though the small chunks of meat all had bone, the meat was overcooked, chewy and not very flavourful. I would not get this again. 2. The potato greens stew was mild and pleasant. The pieces of meat inside the stew were quite good, not overcooked as it often can be at other restaurants. 3. Attieke was fine. Grilled meat, potato greens & attieke came to $20. 4. We tried a dessert from the fridge. The dessert was like a rice pudding with lime and sugar; it was very sweet and tasted like artificial flavours. I wouldn't want to get this again. Service was fine, but the food in general was not cooked to my liking.

I tried this place based on the reviews read here on Yelp. All I can say is the food is DELICIOUS! Just like the other readers posted, you get a large portion, in fact I'm eating the leftovers right now! Very Tasty, lamb is tender, fried fish was out of this world delicious, and the Jollof rice was undeniably good!

This place is great! I initially wanted the Okra stew but didn't have a taste for fufu so I ordered the jollof rice with "meat" aka lamb which. The lamb was so tender!! I also had plantain and the for $16 I could feed three people (two adults and one child) and we had left overs for the next day. The portions are large and the food is flavorful. There's a lot of African restaurants on Woodland Ave but according to many locals, this place is the best!!!!
