I personally don’t see why the reviews are so high. The restaurant is a bit understaffed and the food took a while. The restaurant also needs a good deep cleaning. I don’t feel inclined to come back.

The food was very good but a bit pricey considering the portions. FYI, go for the S.O.S.

I hate leaving anything other than a stellar review to an independently-owned business, but, unfortunately, the shortcomings of Taylor’s Cafe were notable. My friend and I went there during what should have been a busy time: Sunday at noon. While there were tables open, no one came even to ask us for a drink order for about 20 minutes, and only after we asked twice. The staff was very nice but not particularly knowledge, having to leave our table to ask someone else the answer to our questions once they finally got to us. There were odd responses, such as no one knowing what brand of veggie burger the restaurant used and odd, missing items one would expect in a cosmopolitan area: no herbal tea, no decaf coffee. While the eggs over and hash browns looked delicious, they tasted heavily of butter. I’m sorry to say that we won’t be returning here.

The food was delicious. I had an omelet, and there was a good-sized list to choose what you wanted in it. The home fries were good too, more like a smashed potato. The only thing that was a turn-off was the slow waiter, and the place could use some scrubbing.

Maybe we caught them on a super busy day, but this place was ok. The server was nice, but we waited about 45 mins for food and when we got it it wasn't that great. The grits were watery, the pancakes were dense and needed more flavor, the smoothie needed to be sweeter. The eggs were ok.

Food is good but my order has not been right even one time.Items omitted and staff that doesn’t care. Won’t order anymore.I think team maybe needs more support from management.

Called to place an order for the first time, a item I wanted wasn’t available so I subbed It out for an alternative meat, when I asked the price I was discouraged and respectfully said no thank I’ll cancel, when I was met with a rude, “thank you for wasting my time” from the waiter. I just want to say if someone calls to verify a price for a order that took less than 60 seconds to confirm, there’s no reason why someone should be as rude and distasteful.

Great, no frills spot for a delicious brunch on a Saturday in Roxborough after a hike in the Wiss. Don’t sleep on the hash browns! Garlic buttery goodness.

I gave the restaurant 4 stars because I have to eat there at least 2 more times and be satisfied. But the service was great, the french toast I had was great! Look forward to going again.

Our first time here and what a great experience. Justin took care of us and was friendly and personable. Really down to earth. Made great food recommendations and knew about all the dishes we had questions about. The menu is very extensive for breakfast and brings a wonderfully unique touch. Happy to find a Philly restaurant that has ham! Out dishes came out fast and cooked exactly as ordered, but more importantly cooked perfectly. Runny poached egg on my Benedict Taylor, nicely charred Canadian Bacon and a tasty bread underneath. Fresh sized OJ was one of the best I've had. Very little pulp and delicious. A great breakfast spot we'll be coming back to

Nice server, but pretty new and didn't have much experience. Home fries were greasy and overcooked like they sat on the grill all morning and got reheated.
