My wife ordered chicken. What she got was Mount Rice-manjaro with a chicken pebble on top. I’m not sure if it was a meal or a culinary prank. The ratio was so off I started checking if it came with a shovel.

And after surviving that carb avalanche? ONE fortune cookie. Just one. Like, “Here’s your tiny prophecy, peasant. Hope you like 3 pounds of jasmine rice with a side of disappointment.”

If you’re craving rice with a trace of chicken and a single fortune cookie to contemplate your life choices—this is the place for you.

I’m in Philly. The concert was over and I wanted some Chinese before I left. Taking a moment to search the area, I stumbled across Temple Star. As Temple Star was super close, I decided to walk.

Walking up to Temple Star, it was exactly what I wanted. The hood spot that was open late and had the combo plate specials. Oh yeah!

I went in, placed my order and waited for my food to be finished. The service and level of cleanliness was exactly as I had anticipated so there’s nothing to talk about. LoL!!

Once my food was ready, she called my order, I headed to the window, got it and I was out.

The food smelled amazing through the bag and I was ready to eattttttttttttt.

I got to my hotel, opened my food and took my first bite and babeeeeeee… OVER IT!!!! Keep It… I’m all set.

Everything was over greasy. I knew it would be greasy but this was all over greasy. The flavor profile of everything was bland, and my boneless spare ribs were very soft. No thanks.

Temple Star isn’t on my comeback list, however… it’s open late if you’re hungry.

Don’t deliver

this place is gas. literally the best sesame tofu i’ve ever had. i cannot stress enough how good this place is. i’d include a photo of my food, but i ate it all. 11/10.

I usually grab their steamed dumplings, unfortunately I was not the one who grabbed my food tonight (8/16/24) it was a Friday I can understand if they are busy. It seems the steamed dumplings are well over cooked on one side. It’s insane. I’m disappointed tbh but this one time won’t stop me from coming here. Again I’m a little disappointed and dissatisfied

The food is good and reasonably priced. Their wings are amazing and the lady behind the counter is by far the sweetest lady ever. She’s always so kind and she always gives me A free bottle of water. My favorite Chinese store. Good customer service means everything!?
