Tex’s Chicken & Burgers

Texas chicken and burgers is one of my favorite chicken spots. Unfortunately I haven’t been to the store because I always use a food delivery service after work but the flavor of the chicken is unmatched. I personally think it’s better than Popeyes and KFC. I have eaten from here over 200 times and not once was I disappointed.

So I have actually eaten at quite a few of these chains, and this one has the best quality of food that I have encountered. They make their food right.

Many of the reviews below are out of line. Ex: if a food delivery app gig worker steals the food, that's on the app and their low quality gig workers, not the restaurant.

Granted, I've probably been to about 10 of these in NYC, so maybe the quality is different here, but my impression is that this is one of the better ones, and personally they have the best chicken that I have had from this chain.

I have been coming to Texas chicken and burger for a few years and have enjoyed the food and prices but lately experience have been bad. You can never ever get anyone on the phone I actually had a employee say the manager have the phone at all times and he never picks up. So if you have a issue with a online order like I did you will not receive any help. My last online order I payed for delivery through the app and was suppose to get delivered by grub hub. When the grub hub driver came to the store a employee said the order was already picked up?! By who I don't know but they never replaced my order and I was supposed to receive a refund I haven't gotten this took place 8/15/25 and it's now 8/21/25. If I could give 0 stars I would

I was really thirsty during 90° weather I stopped in this establishment to ask for a cup of water and was denied what type of world do we live in where we can't even give a free cup of water during a heat wave they also only sell Dasani water like people dont know that Dasani is the equivalent of drinking your toilet water 🙂‍↔️🙄

The guy working the drive thru got a attitude and got nasty and before I could order so I left if you hired that employee your sabotaging you own business by having an employee who treats customers like that i would’ve give this place a negative 5 star rating If i could

I ordered the 4-piece fried spicy chicken combo with fries and Fanta Orange. I had specifically requested no wings, but wings were still included in my order. The fried chicken was delicious with a nice, bold spicy flavor. The French fries, however, were not great. They were quite hard and lacked freshness. I will definitely order the spicy fried chicken again. The packaging was well done and securely sealed.

I order the 4 for five I order 4 boxes I get home for dinner and each box had 3 pieces in it. so I didn't eat dinner because we were short of food I let my kids eat it never going back again me or my family and friends.

I had no problem before, till today. I buy food from here regularly because my kids like the cheeseburger, but not anymore. One of the female employees started disrespecting me while I asked her to give me my sides, which she forgot for the third time. She was talking rudely. I asked her not to talk to customers like that; instead of stopping, she told me not to teach her how to do her job. I feel sorry for the owner/manager, Sameer. A bad employee can damage a business like that. I'm never going back there. I hope the owner reads this and contacts me.

Ordered on Uber, made me wait 1 and a half hours and then just canceled out of nowhere. The hell is wrong with these guy? Just stay away folks

Absolutely disgusting. place is filthy, workers didn’t appear clean, had long hair and beard, which is fine, but when working with food certain precautions should be taken like wearing gloves or hair nets and groomed with clean clothes on, but they look like they didn’t even shower and we’re the same clothes with dirt on them all week. No greeting, just rude stares and nasty attitudes. Food tasted like it was dipped in old grease and reheated—straight rancid. Should’ve walked out the moment I stepped in. Save your time, money, and stomach.
