The pastries and baked goods here are great. The cookies and bars are sweet but not too sweet. I don’t really like scones because they tend to fall apart and I don’t like the texture. My favorites are the babka in any flavor! It is a bit pricey, but it's not too expensive for bakeries in Rittenhouse.
The babka is so amazing ! Thank you for the breakfast :)

We often order the BLT for lunch. It's the best BLT you can buy. As always - much of the reason is the bread - which is delicious. Bacon is also amazing - and the lettuce, tomato and mayo are good too!

Has quickly become one of my favorite bakeries in the city! Everything I have gotten is always incredible. I recommend the pop tart, apple caramel cheesecake square, and the lemon blueberry square. Only con is the place is small and it can get crowded and hard to have somewhere to stand while waiting for your order!

I had a chocolate babka that was so delicious that no joke, it changed my understanding of what babka could be.
I still think about it often and cannot wait to visit again and try other things. I would go out of my way to visit this bakery again.

The baked goods here are amazing...literally everything I've had is delicious. The ricotta cookie is my favorite!
Removing one star because I'm consistently disappointed in their breakfast sandwiches. They always seem somehow dry, the eggs are over cooked and they take forever to make (20min!) even though on the most recent occasion there were multiple employees working and it was a quiet Tuesday morning.

Yummmmm! I was overwhelmed by the selection of baked goods because they all looked amazing. I went with the sticky bun, can’t go wrong with a classic ?, and it did not disappoint. The pop tart is another popular treat but I did not try it. My boyfriend had the bacon egg and cheese with avocado, strawberry jelly, and siracha. He enjoyed it thoroughly. Highly recommend!

Staff is super friendly, their pastries are awesome, and they had breakfast and lunch sandwiches. Prices are also reasonable. Highly recommend checking them out if you’re in the Rittenhouse area.

I ordered an Avocado toast. It fits the description on the menu but tasted somewhat mediocre. Avocado was plenty along with chopped tomatoes and other flavor. The two eggs were pan fried which was good but could have been better if it were scrambled. Also, It would have been better had this been served on a sourdough or French bread, vice toasted wheat bread. All the toppings were difficult to hold while eating.
I was disappointed with the pace of the staff’s preparation. At 1110am, there might have been few other phone orders ahead of mine but it took 20+ min to get my Avocado toast, despite seeing at least 3 staff working in the kitchen. Pastry looked delicious as was my chocolate chip cookie. The Bakeshop is Not necessarily my first choice in Philly where there are so many available selection of fabulous bakeries.

Hidden gem right behind Rittenhouse square (southwest) tiny little shop with great coffee, treats and sandwiches (maybe more but that’s what we got ) two little tops to sit outside. One of the best scones I’ve had !

Wow, Lisa! The mixed-fruit 'pop-tart' melts in the mouth! Next time I'm coming with an appetite, getting three, and making it a meal! The carrot muffin, I'll save for tomorrow. With that smile you shared when I asked about it, I'm guessing . . . it's a favorite? :-)
