Had a great time with my dog here. People were friendly and there were lots of friendly pups to have him play with. Didn't end up getting food or drinks but both looked good. Loved that they had moderators in the yard (who were friendly and observant) watching the dogs and making sure the owners kept an eye on their dogs.

I live 1.5 hours away so unfortunately I don’t get to go as often but that should say enough that I drive this far to come here. It is such a cute place, the staff is helpful especially the refs that are taking care of the dogs, they are actually watching for any aggressive behaviors and will separate if needed which is so so helpful. My dog always has a GREAT time.

I don't even go to other bars anymore. Food is fantastic. Drink selection is great! Friendly atmosphere. It's got it all.

I would’ve given this 5 stars 6 months ago. New management seems more focused on the wrong things and his way of handling isn't the best, not the worst either, but def not great.
He claims he’s a bully owner but his “bully” is a frenchie.
All that said, it’s overpriced, one regular can of SurfSide is $9 not including tip with a 4 pack is $10 and an 8 pack is $16. Food depends on the kitchen, which are mostly AMAZING. But front desk needs improvement, GM DEF needs improvement, they need to get their staffing numbers corrected and consistent, and so much more. Two of their best “ruffaries” are gone and the pure bred elitists treat anything not pure bred or a bully mix (actual “bully”) like absolute trash when from my experience, are the better behaved then the doodles or labs or “fancy/expensive” dogs. Never been bit by a bully/staffie but have been attacked by labs, poodles, doodles, and chi-chi’s.
The new one in Manayunk can’t open fast enough. It’s closer to me anyways. I’m thisclose to canceling my membership.

I took my 3 1/2 month old puppy Cora to The Boozy Mutt to meet with some friends and their dogs.
We had a great time! My puppy loved meeting and playing with the other dogs.
The bar had an indoor and outdoor space where dogs could roam freely and socialize off leash safely. The staff is very friendly and helpful there. The Rufferees did a great job looking after the dogs making sure they were safe and playing appropriately.
The food and drinks at The Boozy Mutt are tasty too.I will definitely be taking Cora back there for some more doggy fun.
Please open up another bar in the suburbs, West Chester or KOP.

On 07/22/2025, I had gone to this establishment to give it a try and to see if my dogs would like it. The vibes were good so I decided to support this business and purchase a dog toy along with a black tank top. I was charged twice for the tank top. I did not realize it at first but when I got home to look at the receipt, I noticed it then. I was charged $60 for 2 tank tops. I had contacted the Manager Steffen about the mishap and he stated that he would let the GM know since he’s the only person to issue a refund. It is now 08/14/2025 and have yet to receive my money back. Had I just gotten my refund, all would have been forgiven. But to just blatantly ignore me when money was essentially stolen from me, it’s not okay ! I will never support this business again. And I hope the owner finds out about this so that his employees don’t do this to another customer.
Edit: Owner kept his word and a refund was issued. Thank you 🙏

This is a unique and ingenious idea. The food is great for both humans and dogs, I wish there was one in NYC.

I absolutely love The Boozy Mutt! On a cold day where we wanted to go out to eat, but didn't want to leave our dog alone, we discovered The Boozy Mutt. We love that the space is both indoor/outdoor, making it a space you can visit any time of the year. We even ended up visiting again on a day it was pouring rain. The drinks are very good, the food is tasty, and our dog loves the treats they offer. It truly is the perfect location for people who love to bring their dog along on adventures.

I didn’t eat while I was here, but I am grateful for having a dog friendly establishment in Philly with friendly handlers, a relaxed patronage, and a decent space for the pups. It’s not as big as I would like, but for the city spot it is pretty spacious. There was lot of water for the pups and high tables for diners.

My experience at the Boozy Mutt has changed dramatically over time.
When I first started visiting, I was genuinely impressed by the concept, atmosphere, and most of the staff. I brought friends, spent well over $1,000 in my first year, and planned to host events—including my engagement party—there.
However, that changed after repeated negative encounters with one employee who made it clear I wasn’t welcome. They ignored me unless criticizing my dog and showed persistent hostility. I brushed it off until two separate incidents—witnessed by others—confirmed this treatment wasn’t accidental.
Things escalated when that same employee brought their own dog in double leg casts to the Boozy Mutt (while off-duty), verbally taunted it, and let it interact with others. Their dog attacked mine—biting and refusing to let go. It took two staff members and two patrons to separate them. I later had to treat my dog for an infected wound and paid a $175 vet bill.
When I reported this to management, their response was slow, dismissive, and ultimately gaslighting. I received no apology, no follow-up—only a suggestion that I “drop it.” Worse, I was falsely accused of cursing out staff (I hadn’t). The employee who owned the dog never apologized and even yelled at me when I tried to address it respectfully.
The injured party here was my dog, who suffered unnecessarily due to neglect and mishandling—both from the off-duty staff and from a management team more interested in optics than accountability.
I share this because I once loved this place, but it’s clear that customer loyalty, safety, and basic respect can be easily discarded here.
Go for the drinks and dogs—but if something goes wrong, don’t expect management to handle it with care or fairness.

I brought all three of my dogs and had a great time hanging out with my daughter! The staff were incredibly welcoming—not just to us, but especially to our fur babies. The whole place was clean, and the dog areas were well maintained, which made it easy to relax and enjoy ourselves. The other patrons were super friendly too, and we even met a few people who came without pets just to enjoy the fun atmosphere. It’s definitely a spot we’ll be visiting again!

This place is great! A wonderful place to let your dog socialize, as well as yourself. And if you don’t have a dog , come for the food, it’s all very delicious! 5 Stars
This past Saturday we went to a really nice party at the Boozy Mutt. The cheeseteaks and ham, cheese and bacon sandwiches on a pretzel roll were delish!!
