Fancy breakfast? Why not? It’s a nice place, I like the atmosphere. The porridge is tasteful, and the coffee is good too. The downside is only it’s quite pricey.

So, I had a doctor’s appointment in the morning and I just needed to grab a quick bite. It was my first time here, and I was really impressed with the ambiance and the friendly staff. But unfortunately, the food wasn’t my cup of tea. My pork dish tasted like Real pig beside me, and I only managed to take a bites. The server was very accommodating and offered me some other options, but I was already starting to get discouraged. Of course, I ended up paying for the meal and tip!

Great brunch spot! I would honestly give it a 4.5 if I could, the only thing I found was that the sides were a little pricey, I got a large bowl of fruit which was $10, but the actual mains are pretty good! My friend got a sandwich and I got the Hannah banana mini pancakes (4 pancakes), filling but light at the same time. If you're not a fan of lemon zest, don't get these pancakes, but I liked it. Definitely coming again and trying the congee! Our server was also amazing and we didn't have to wait at all!

The food was simply amazing. Will definitely visit again. Really unique brunch spot. It’s a small spot so be prepared to wait if busy.

A really good fusion Vietnamese breakfast place! If you’re a big fan of Asian food, get a bowl of chao ga chicken porridge. If you want a typical breakfast with Vietnamese pulled pork, thit kho hash is the best choice for you. I’d come back for trying more Veit dish they have. The place itself is little too small and crowded tho, but it’s worth it.

Honestly this place was heaven. They had the correct bread, the right sunny-side up consistency, and the crispy pork side dish that delights the taste buds. The atmosphere was spacious and calm.

Although the food deserves 5 stars, for the Banh Mi Op La, all ingredients were well balanced with the exception of the bacon, which in this instance was quite salty and made me flinch in surprise. I wasn't sure what could have caused the bacon to be salty, but as the pickled carrots cleanse the pallette, I am re-exposed to the salt level in new bites. Overall however, the dish was still very good.

I work down the street and stop in daily. The food is amazing, and the girls who work there are too! The Vietnamese Iced Coffee is to die for, and they make the best breakfast in the city.
It does get super busy in there, which must be tough for them, and sometimes I bet it's stressful. I WAS working up the courage to ask her name myself, but whoever the owner is, she's doing a great job, and it shows in the quality of the food.
Just try to be nicer to ppl even when it's busy, i know it's hard, but as a patron I feel like I got poor service early this morning, to the point of being offended. Which isn't normal, I respect them to the fullest so, I deserve that respect in return. To say I was confused this afternoon serious be an understatement. After the fact it hit me that it was dead, for the first time. Almost an empty room. So to say why I got that type of treatment as a customer, I'm not sure. Then I get a whole different version of this employee 3 hours later. I'm at the register/counter guessing feeling like a complete moron when trying to engage simple regular conversation. Thank you.

I can’t speak to the breakfast food, but the bahn mi I ordered was not good. I ordered the crispy chicken bahn mi and my chicken was undercooked. On top of that, half of the sandwich was the radish/carrot slaw which seemed to have been drenched in apple cider vinegar and was very overpowering. Needless to say, I did not finish my meal.

The place is decorated nicely but there is only one bathroom which was not clean and the area near the bathroom is dirty which makes me question cleanliness in the establishment.

American breakfast looked good on other people’s tables so if you are eating here, that is probably the way to go, not the bahn mi sandwiches.

I really appreciate the warm welcome I always get from the TBD team. They know how to make coming into TBD feel like home away from home. The food is excellent and is a regular fixture in my takeout rotation, and a spot my family always requests when they visit from out of town. Many thanks to TBD!

Some of the best food I’ve had in Philly. The chao ga (chicken porridge) was so flavorful and the bacon summer roll was expected so delicious. Loved the banh mi’s! Generous portions and the kindest staff and owner!

One of the best breakfasts available in Philly. Servers are attentive and friendly, and TBD has some of the best food available in the city. We take all of our friends and family here, and we've never had a bad experience. Prices are extremely reasonable considering the high quality of the food, and it's one of the rare places I've ever been where there's not a bad dish on the menu. Worth going out of your way for.
