We eat at Dandelion quite frankly with groups when working in Philadelphia. Service is quite good, food very consistent and excellent quality. We really enjoy the atmosphere and different seating spaces to accommodate groups of 5-8 people.
It's a cute quaint restaurant not meant for elderly due to old stairs. Maybe that is why our waitress kept forgetting the bread basket which she mentioned 3 times and later never showed up with it. She also misinformed us about a drink we ordered. Crab cakes tasted like a frozen processed dish, everything was subpar except for the carrots. The rabbit pie tastes like chicken, the lamb sheppard pie was decent and the duck ragu was not bad. Mains don't come with any veggies fyi. Waitress also brought the wrong dessert but luckily the banoffee dessert was prob the best thing on the menu. I think it must be a great restaurant for Philly standards.
Food was good felt that it was very dark in the room. Waiter was not good very inattentive not helpful at all.
We ate here twice on a recent trip to Philly. The bar/pub area is where we sat both times. Great vibe. Great service from both bartenders Friday and Saturday nights and our server Dante ! The food is amazing. Fish and chips are outstanding. Crisp not greasy at all - cod super fresh! We also had the dandelion salad which was perfect. The second night we had the tandoori chicken which is just simply amazing. Tender and a perfectly flavored blend of Indian spices with a dash of English conservativeness! We also had the artichoke risotto which was creamy to perfection . Both nights we licked plates clean !! Will definitely come again !!
Excellent service, very tasty. Fish and chips were stellar. Everything was very good! It got very loud.
The Dandelion is a British Gastropub in Philadelphia, offering a cozy old world atmosphere with fire rooms and traditional fair. The menu features Classics like Beer Battered Fish and Chips, Cumberland Sausages with mashed potatoes and Rabbit Pie. It’s a great spot for brunch, lunch, or dinner, with rotating craft beers and a Sunday Roast.
I had the Roasted Trout Filet and Welsh Rarebit. Welsh Rarebit was beautiful with a touch of mustard.
Great food and atmosphere. Service was a little slow due to local showtimes and full dining rooms. The server was lovely though.
This place does everything well from the decor to the food. Bravo! The only suggestion would be to add Scottish eggs to the menu.
Good vegetarian options. Friendly staff and good ambience.
great food! amazing atmosphere (specially during car free sundays in the spring).

Delicious food and really fun ambiance! Reservation required!
I absolutely love love LOVE this place! I've come here numerous times for both brunch and dinner and everything I've ever had has been fantastic. Their scones in particular are absolutely AMAZING and the atmosphere is impeccable. I recommend it to everyone I know that is planning a trip to Philly!
Great spot for drinks.
