Really good food, lovely atmosphere, great service. Nice beer selection, great happy hour specials. Highlight of the night was the madras curry deviled eggs. But the rabbit pie was excellent as well. Only issue is that I did find a bone in the pie, but that does happen sometimes with rabbit. I would absolutely come back here. I'm interested in trying the cocktails; this time, I just had a draft milk stout, which was lovely.
Over time I've eaten most of the items on the menu here. This is an English themed restaurant meaning a comfortable dining area, pub and a tearoom upstairs. It is a fairly good value compared to other restaurants in the area. It's popular and now they have no sign telling you the restaurant is there but customers still know the place. There are a number of British items on the menu such as bangers and mash. It is one of the few places where you can get rabbit in a pastry....
This is an absolutely authentic British gastropub. Visiting Philly and went there two days in a row because it reminded me so much of pubs and Sunday roasts in the UK. Lovely, cozy place with lovely staff and delicious food.
