The Fire is a really small but nice venue, located in the back of a bar. Really cool vibes and I love that it's a Woman Owned venue. It's hard to find that in the music industry so huge fan of that!
Unfortunately there were some sound issues that happened at the show I was at. I went to see Tawnted (who is fantastic btw!) and it was a lot of fun despite the sound issues. There's not much the venue can do, due to the size and build of the place, to help the sound travel better through out the space.
All in all, 4 out of 5 stars. Great atmosphere.

This place is an institution. I don't live in Philly anymore, but the time I spent here is a big part of who I am today. Open mic nights were awesome, and the staff was always excellent. I remember a guy...I think his name was Kelso...introduced me to fancy foods too. Amazing place...a special place. It needs like a historic designation or something, I think.

more like The Dumpster Fire! Bands Beware: If you play at The Fire, you WILL get burnt! It's a shame because it has the potential to be a cool venue, but unfortunately they just suck. totally mismanaged. charlie is cool though.
