Place only had a few people but our high top service by the bar was terrible. We were never checked on for food quality, refills on drinks etc. This was on a Saturday around 2pm.

Amber and Omar are the best! The drinks Omar made were exceptional and Ambers service and presence was outstanding! A must visit!

Such a cozy spot to unwind with a craft cocktail—love the library theme and intimate vibe. The bartenders really know their stuff, and it’s perfect for a quiet night out or a low-key date. Feels like a hidden gem in Rittenhouse.

Disgusting experience at this place. The service was unprofessional and felt discrinminatory. The waiter Katie first told us to wait for 20 mins because the bartender was occupied. Initially, we heard a lot of shaking and mixing of drinks but it died down. Yet we were told that they werent ready to take another table and would wait for another 20 minutes or more. Quickly after that, an older white couple just walked in and was seated, and the same waiter started taking their drinks right in front of us. This behavior is absolutely disgusting, unprofessional, and extremely discriminatory. Katie excused that it was miscommunication between the bartender and her. Please be sure not to “miscommunicate” next time, and at least know first come first serve as a server.

The cocktails were excellent. Very quiet little cocktail lounge and good older person vibes. No loud music or obnoxious sexy shenanigans at the bar. It's an old school place for cocktails and to even drink by yourself.

It saddens me to leave such a negative review for this bar, because it was one of my favorite places when I lived in Philadelphia. However, given how poor their management is, I feel that others should be warned. I tried for a week to contact management of this place to inquire if they’d be able to accommodate a post-wedding celebration, since my venue is across the street. I received ZERO follow up phone calls & emails. This is POOR customer service. When I finally reached someone, mind you a manager who ran a different portion of the hotel, I was told that I would have to go through their sales department, which at this point, would not produce a quick enough turnaround to accommodate the date I needed. Why wasn’t this told to me the first time I called? I was interested in bringing 20-25 people to their facility; that’s a fair amount of business for one party. Unless you enjoy being tossed aside and ignored, along with given the complete runaround due to incompetence, then I strongly advise to seek elsewhere.

i went to the library bar on a date and it was so beautiful! For those who are NOT Philadelphia natives like myself, The Library Bar is located INSIDE The Rittenhouse Hotel. When looking it up, it says that, but it’s easily overlooked if you’re not paying attention or not familiar with the area.
The atmosphere was intimate, relaxing, and definitely an overall vibe. This is a great place for drinks among friends, a date, or even if you’re wanting a solo date in a place with a great atmosphere🤍✨

I didn't actually order any food, everything seemed overpriced for what they were offering. The drinks were strong, some tasted better than others but the drinks we had did the job. The beat part of the experience was the vibe. You go to the library bar because it looks cool and is a cozy, intimate vibe. On this note it delivered in spades. Definitely worth a visit. Make sure you have at least $50 - $80 available to spend if you want drinks and food.

Too notch cocktails and wine in a dark and cozy setting. Seating is tight, but it's perfect for a pre-dinner drink. Complementary olives and pistachios are a nice touch.
