The restaurant is situated in an excellent location, making it easily accessible for both locals and visitors. The food is not only delicious but also thoughtfully prepared, showcasing a variety of flavors that cater to diverse tastes. The attentive service enhances the dining experience, with staff members who are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. The ambiance is inviting and pleasant, featuring tasteful decor and comfortable seating that create a warm atmosphere for enjoying a meal. Overall, this combination of factors makes for a delightful dining experience.
First time at Twisted Tail. 7pm reservations. Immediately sat upon arrival. Experienced and knowledgeable host. 7pm seating. Final plate came to table maybe 8:15p. I prefer the plates to come together but each item came out as it was done. Meaning some eating at the table some not / waiting. Food portions were plenty. I had short rib and sweet potatoes/ mac and cheese. Great with the cornbread. My counterparts had fried chicken, mussles, and crab ale which they all said was amazing. The punch bowls were a great saver for the table. Served about 5 people 2-3 cups of rum punch. I went during dinner hours. I think I will go back to experience brunch and some of the music. Couldn't hear much on first floor dining. Just minutes away from Penns Landing and south street. Great before and after dinner walking and sight seeing.
Our visit her was great. The server was very attentive. We have some food allergies so they made sure they understood exactly what they were. First time here and location is so inviting, the food was good. Will definitely return.
The beef short ribs and the fish and chips were delicious. We very much appreciated the attention from waitstaff and the manager. The drinks were well-made and delicious as well. It was my second time here and was again a very good experience. We will be back.
We were seated outside at 7:30pm, but no one ever came to our table—not even to pour water. Multiple waiters walked right past us without acknowledging us. After waiting 25 minutes with no service whatsoever, we finally got up and left. Truly disappointing. Will never return.
Fabulous! The food at The Twisted Tail is absolutely phenomenal. You CANNOT get a bad meal there. If you haven't been there you must.
We have been there many times. Food has always been top quality. You would think that for Easter brunch you would get a nice meal. Very very basic. That would have been fine, but not for $250 for four people. Four eggs Benedict and a small app & premade mini dessert. Not worth it.
We came in for drinks and the bartenders were great. Drinks were made well and quickly poured. We did try some of the bar food snacks and didn't really care for them. The cheese curds, in particular, came out very greasy and not edible.

We had a great time at The Twisted Tail! Our waiter, Will, was exceptionally friendly and helpful, always checking in with us and very on top of things. Shout out to his recommendation for the shishito peppers - they were so delicious we even ordered seconds! The wings were decent, but the poke bowl needs some work. Music was nice for the background ambience. Happy hour prices were very reasonable.

It doesn't get much better then this establishment. Went for brunch and was grated warm and friendly. Asked for their bourbon card and even read the profile that you prefer. The selection of whiskey was outstanding and with do many options, why not have a drink around bourbon card for keeping track and trying new spirits. Mixed drinks where delicious and the food came to match that. Outstanding place nestled inside the track shape for parking. The gentlemen playing guitar kept the mood chill while you enjoyed your pours. A little dark ambiance for my taste for brunch but that was it. Fantastic experience and will be frequently going.

This restaurant is super cozy with lots of spaces and niches for conversation, dining, and listening to live music. The cocktails are delicious and the atmosphere is great! My only criticism is the only entree I had that evening which was a fried chicken sandwich. I think the fried chicken could use a LOT more seasoning. It needs a kick. However, considering it was from the happy hour menu at only $7, perhaps this is one of those situations where you get what you pay for. Regardless, I will be back. Super cute place and great service!

Great spot in Society Hill to grab a cheap bite and hang with friends!
The crawfish mac and cheese is some of the best I’ve had in the city, it’s delicious (it’s also $5 during happy hour!!!) The brussel sprouts were also super crispy.
I wasn’t a huge fan of the pumpkin espresso martini, but that’s no fault of the bartender as I discovered I just like regular espresso martinis. The kool kat drink is one of my new favorites.
Will definitely keep coming back for late night food + drinks, and want to come for dinner sometime.

Celebrated a birthday party with 25 people in Twisted Tail's private room on the second floor this past weekend and had a wonderful time! Live music across the hall was the perfect volume and ambience. The room had 2 TVs, a dart board and shuffle board. Couple of couches and cute decor where perfect backdrops for great photos. The food was delicious! All the guests were full, happy, and praising the yummy food selections!
