Food always good, fresh & staff always greet you when you come in. Nice r&b and oldies playing while you wait for fresh food. So sad when they closed for that while but happy they opened back up! I always order a small platter but an extra side of jerk chicken ! We be back next week 💖

I recently visited the new location and was impressed by how clean and inviting it is. The food was absolutely delicious, just as good as I remember from their original restaurant over seven years ago. The owner even came out to introduce himself, which made the experience feel warm and personal.
This new spot feels more modern, especially with the self-ordering kiosks that make the process quick and easy. Later during my meal, the owner returned with a sample of a new fish dish that will soon be added to the menu, it was delicious, too!
It’s great to see that the quality and flavors I enjoyed years ago are still the same today. Wishing this soul food restaurant the best of luck and continued success in the future!
Would you like it to sound more casual, more formal, or maybe with a bit of humor? I can adjust it!
The food is amazing as usual the turkey wings are sticky howni like them on another note they need better air conditioning and some industrial fans for the staff and the customers

I was disappointed with my food. This may not be the same people cooking.
My mac and cheese was dry, turkey wings were dry, cabbage not seasoned, yams had something missing.....

I wish they’d open back up bc I’m tired of patronizing these other random places around NE Philly.

Ive loved Thomasena’s ever since they were in that plaza on Adams & Rising Sun. Then they moved to Orthodox St. I still went. Then they upped and closed in 2021 for some reason. I wish they open again or share their relocation. I loved their food. The basa, green beans, and mac and cheese was my go to platter.

(Now closed) I just demolished my cabbage, fish, sweet potatoes platter. The platter was super tasty! A big special shout out to whoever made the cabbage awesome!
Good good good
The food here is Delicious. It's the best soul food spot that I've been to in Philly. It might be a little wait depending on what time you go but it’s definitely worth waiting for.
