We came for my mother's 82nd birthday. The food was amazing. I ordered grits with catfish my mom ordered a whiting sandwich. The fish was switched. I caused a curfuffle, but the food was good. We both enjoyed the food regardless . It's difficult when we are in a space of rules and regulations that don't fit what's happening. I didn't want to return what I was enjoying and I apologize for putting you in a space where reality trumped honesty. Please go to this place the food is so good. We were a group of five and everyone enjoyed the food.

I went on a Wednesday for lunch with a friend. She ordered the french toast, and I had two eggs over hard, turkey bacon, and a side order of home fries. I was really disappointed by the two eggs, because they were a bit too runny and the color of the yolks was a very off color of yellow-green. The home fries were definitely the best part of the meal.

Overall this place is nice, but the music is too loud, making it hard to have a conversation. The interior decorating is also random and kind of weird; there are out-of-context Air Canada model airplanes in a display case by the door.

My Penn State sisters and I had a great time at Taste Cafe! The atmosphere was good energy. The manager (Chad) and staff were phenomenal! The owner (Jessica) was very welcoming! The food was soooo good! Hats off to this establishment! We wish you luck on opening another! The chain is coming! Must go to in Philly! Oxtails n Grits! Hands down! Thank you Taste Cafe for a good time!

Their food is way too over priced for what they give you as far as portions and the quality is horrible. I had ordered a pancake platter to go and an orange juice which came up to $28.50. 3 pancakes. Alittle bit of scrambled eggs and 3 small pieces of bacon is what they gave me…. Smh no!!! This is the most I’ve ever spent on breakfast for just myself and the most disgusting I’ve ever tasted. The pancakes were way too fluffy with no texture!!! Smh I wouldn’t recommend spending a $ here go somewhere else!!!

I went early on a Saturday morning, took my son. It was the cutest place! The staff was friendly and the food was so good!! I think that was the best French toast I ever had!! Light, not overly filled with the sweet cream - it was just right. We also had the homies (home fries) and I had the turkey bacon. They did not miss! I also had the Watermelon Mint Lemonade... oh my goodness!! The most refreshing drink! And they also allowed me to sample the Peach Lavender Lemonade 💜 - it was equally amazing! I will be going back, it's definitely worth the trip.

All of the reviews about the food being cold are true. I’m so sad about my experience. I’ve been wanting to try this place for a while and when I got the chance, it was disappointing. The menu was not up to date, all of my food was cold, and they told me the price of the traditional breakfast (waffle or French toast, meat, and eggs) had gone up. Okay no problem. I will spend whatever for good food. However, when they brought the food out, I was only given half of a waffle (two triangles). My husband and I spent about $80 and I couldn’t even get a whole waffle or hot food. The setup was nice. Loved the mural on the wall.

The oxtail with cheesy grits was soooo good and perfect for a cold rainy day. The cups of coffee and hot chocolate were huge. Fried fish was also very tasty.

It was okay. The manager/owner was really rude when I came in like kind of a smart ass and not really welcoming at all but the wait staff were nice. I still got the breakfast though, it was okay but nothing really special compared to other spots in Philly for the same item. Its also a super long wait for the food so be ready for that too 🫩
