Took 45 minutes for takeout, food was disorganized, subpar and small portioned for the price. Not going back and wouldn’t recommend anyone else to.

It disappointed me that I wasn’t in love with this place. I came here for a Sunday brunch and started with the peach lavender lemonade, which was lovely and refreshing despite not really tasting like peach and/or lavender. For an entree, I got the fried catfish sandwich. The catfish was perfectly fried and I ate my sandwich in two seconds. The fries were just okay. My sister, however, ordered the chicken and waffles, and complained that the waffles were cold and rubbery, and the chicken tenders were dry with too many layers of crust outside of them. My mother got the blueberry lemon jawn french toast, and said that it was tasty but cold. She also ordered a side of the chicken tenders and came to the same conclusion as my sister. I loved the Mohammed Ali and Malcolm X mural. I did not love the flies or how loud the music was.

Took my daughter to brunch for her birthday. We went to @toastcafewithjaeroche. The food was AMAZING as was the staff. I had the Bourbon Chicken and Waffle's with a side of cheese eggs and my daughter had Catfish and Whitting with potatoes and eggs. If you guys go there, make sure you have a reservation as they get pretty busy, but if you don't, it's worth the wait. They have Mimosas on Sunday.

“The food was tasty, but the portions were very small for the price. Unfortunately, the service wasn’t pleasant — our waitress came across as rude she was a darkskin female with a serious tude cause she forgot apart of my order which took away from the overall experience. I was disappointed because the quality of the food had potential, but the service and portion size made it hard to enjoy.”

Came in on short notice with a large group and received immediate service. Everyone enjoyed their entrees. I had Jerk Salmon and Grits. Very hearty and flavorful portion. Definitely will revisit when back in the Philadelphia area

Yummy! Got the bourbon bbq sandwich & the mango berry iced tea
Sandwich had a great bbq and a nice spicy aioli. Fries were definitely homemade. Nice!

I was recommended this place to try. Place is very tiny. The wait for the food was long. If you are someone that gets overstimulated i would not recommend. There is too much going on all at once. Music is too loud to hear yourself think. Our server had an attitude. My cousin thought she ordered salmon but had ordered oxtail. A very simple mistake and she was fine with keeping the food but the server had an attitude and walked away. I got a salmon sandwich with Fries. The fries were soggy the salmon was over fried and not season. The is definitely a neighborhood spot nothing special. Which customer service was a little better.

Great place for coffee, lovely employees
Great playlist & staff was super friendly.
I really enjoyed the catfish & homies. Would’ve loved grits, but only cheesy grits were available. I’ll def come back to try the French toast - there were so many options!

A great place meet, eat, and socialize. The food never disappoints, is consistent, and is to die for.

Food was horrible and the main server was unprofessional and didn’t really cared that we were there. Overly priced for processed minimal amounts of food was not ideal. I wouldn’t recommend.

I asked you something to get done and for the prices that you’re paying you shouldn’t have to keep asking people the same thing over and over again
