After we sat down it took our server 15 minutes before they took our order. My husband and I was celebrating our anniversary so we went there to eat. My husband fish fried too hard and grits were lumpy and lukewarm. We will not be going back.
This place was recommended by a friend. I went yesterday for my birthday and was very impressed.
The atmosphere was so nice. Restaurant was clean. Staff was friendly and provided excellent service. The drinks was delicious. The food was so good, I wanted to through my shoe at the cook!! lol đ presentation of the food was excellent and the food was created with love. Hats off to the chef.
I will be back.
My family decided to celebrate my daughter graduation đ©đœâđ celebration at this establishment. We had a party of 16 people. The experience was nothing less than amazing đ€© 20 out of 20 stars. Our server Khaz was so dope. He was welcoming and very knowledgeable about the menu. He made us feel at home. The food was sooooooo good. I had the catfish and grits. The chicken and waffles were great as well. I highly recommend this restaurant. I will be back for sure!!!!! Thank you Toast and your amazing staff.
Played good music, the wait time for the food was reasonable and the waitress was honest about her opinion of the food. I'd come back.
It was a vibe and I would go back
I've literally never been disappointed or dissatisfied coming here and I've been about 4 times this year. I've loved everything I've tried. The staff are nice. The atmosphere is nice. The wait is long but it's worth it to me!
This is one of my favorite spots for brunch. However, it ranked a 4 because my grits weren't hot, and I almost choked on the cheese. Once you have to get new food, it's never the same as when it first comes out. That's why I like it done right the first time. The service was great until I needed a container to go, and another worker(dropping service to a 3) was asked for one. Instead of walking it over to me, she says here from behind the counter for me to get up and get it! As far as atmosphere, it ranked at 4 because it's too cold and makes your food temperature reduce quickly!
I wish I could leave no stars but then I wouldnât be able to say anything. It truly seems like the food would have been good..I wouldnât know, my mother and I went and it wasnât a lot of traffic meaning it wasnât that busy, and not only did we wait an hour we still never got our food. It would have been understandable if they were swamped and it were a large space but it a small, easily cramped space..and sitting at the bar, youâre watching everyone prioritize take out orders rather than eat inâŠIâd like to note that we also DID NOT order a lot of food- I ordered catfish and grits my mother ordered whiting and grits with French toast. I really wanted to support the business but unfortunately there was absolutely nothing to compliment.
Tried them after a great experience nearly a year ago. Service and food has gone down tremendously.

I adore the concept of the place and love to see it succeed but it feels like thereâs a lack of a system. I ordered online, gave it almost 45min before walking in and still had to wait another 15-20min. The staff were super friendly and bubbly, great vibes and music playing. The whiting was great, flavorful and a perfectly crunchy breading 10/10. But the French toast order I got was incorrect. Iâd love to try this place again after some time.

I hope the owner or manager sees this. My intention is to help not hurt.
1) When we got there the restaurant was about 30% full (it's a small space so about 3 tables (ea is a 2 top) and 2 people at the counter). We were seated quickly but it took roughly 20 minutes to get a server to come to our table (there were 2 servers on duty).
2) After placing our order it took roughly 40 minutes for the food to come out. When it did it was room temp. I ordered the Lemon blueberry Jawn and my friend had the Chicken and waffles.
3) From what I could see there were 2 cooks in the kitchen and a bus person.
4) The cooks and the servers were laughing and talking and dancing - having a great time. Meanwhile, the food is going into the microwave because the dishes weren't being time properly and the servers were standing chatting with the cooks.
6) The esthetic is starting to look rundown. It's in need of a good cleaning and spot painting.
7) Just a few suggestions - when offering OJ it should be fresh squeezed or at least not served in a small bottle. Instead of the busser pushing the full garbage can from the counter to the kitchen, passing several tables, maybe close the bag and pull it from the can then carry it to the kitchen. When breaking a new bag of ice on the floor and dumping it into the ice holder behind the counter, maybe rinse it off beforehand so nothing dirty from the floor gets in the ice receptacle. Instead of scrapping plates while at an empty table, maybe just stack the dishes and carry them to the kitchen. They do have live flowers at each table (beautiful idea) but they were very close to dead and attracting gnats and flies. So, we were at war with the flying bugs for our food.
All in all, my experience wasn't great this time - not even good but I'm hoping they will get back to where they were when they first opened.

I have been eyeing this place for a while and was excited that my girlfriend suggested we try them for brunch, it was Sunday afternoon but we made a reservation just in case. One of the hosts seated us fairly quickly and a waitress came to take our order within 5 minutes of being seated. So far so good. We placed our orders and I noticed that they also feature side dishes of macaroni and cheese, greens, sweet potatoes and cabbage. I decided to order the cabbage and sweet potatoes to go. Our dine in orders were brought out and everything was delicious. The mimosas were good as well. After small talk and finishing our meals we paid our bill and left. I wasnât hungry when I got home but decided to taste the side dishes that I purchased and was instantly disappointed. The cabbage was horrible, it was overcooked and I donât even know what they used for seasoning but it was the worst I ever had in my life and the sweet potatoes werenât terrible but honestly even though I just put them in my fridge I probably wonât even eat them. The side dishes were a waste of money and I wouldnât recommend it but the breakfast food was great and wouldâve gave a 5 star rating simply because of that and the service but the side dishes cost them a star.

Cute brunch spot that really tries to make you feel like a "Homie." Come for breakfast, stay through brunch, get lunch, and a dessert to go. It's small and doing big things with breakfast. The menu has clever, locally named categories and has ubiquitous chicken and waffles and oxtail dishes.
The service is friendly and good until you order, then you wait. And wait. Most things are made to order, which understandably takes time, but the waitstaff could provide an explanation during the wait. The food was good, not special. The fresh flowers and cute decor don't quite make up for the wait for eggs, waffles, and toast.

Ghetto, lack of etiquette & unprofessional.
A heavy-set cook from the back comes out to greet someone I was with & instead of being professional & stating what was available on the menu to the both of us, he states âI donât know this strangerâ then proceeds to walk past me & over to the other party & greet them without giving me any eye contact as I just there to be a mannequin at the table, & not eat.
I ordered the chicken & waffles which was not disclosed about the dish coming with toppings (not an issue, I would have just taken them off if anything). Once I placed my order, it came out on an appetizer dish with the food running over, & soggy. I asked for an extra plate & was given a saucer. I asked the gentlemen in the front did they not have a full size plate & was told âwell I gave you this one because we donât have oneâ. I ate a few bites of the waffle (that werenât wet) & the chicken before I was just disgusted with the establishment overall & gave the plate back without even wanting my dish made over.
The sweet waitress told us that they werenât any cups so we had to wait, & then we werenât able to get proper utensils - we were given plastic ones because apparently the silverware was unavailable as well.
Lastly, in the midst of just sitting & finishing conversing with whom I was accompanied with, I noticed some of the cooks were just lounging in the sitting area with their filthy clothes on, as well as going outside standing on the corners while conversing with each other (during business hours).
Overall, a 0 rating.
