Tried this cozy spot for the first time in September 2025 and had a great experience. The servers are detailed and thorough, the food comes out SUPER quick and is delish! Would def recommend for a pre-show meal at the Arden or FringeArts.

A good neighborhood spot; we were able to do a walk in! The specialty rolls section is definitely the place to go! Sushi came out super quick! Very tasty sushi, the rice and fish were both fresh! The garlic ramen was wicked tasty, they had asked if I wanted spicy and I said yes, but it wasn’t very spicy, would have preferred them to give me chili oil so that I could have dosed it myself. Unfortunately, the server was no where to be found when I was eating the ramen and wanting more chili oil; nonetheless, the broth was incredibly savory, the noodles were perfectly thin and a heavy portion! The egg was perhaps a bit overcooked, but otherwise went well with the dish! Great spot to visit and seems like they do quite a bit of take out as well!

It's rare to get the level of food, service, and atmosphere at reasonable prices that we had at Tomo. If I lived in the city I would go here on a regular basis for sure!

We came for Saturday dinner and the place was busy. Service was a bit slow and the food took some time to arrive. We had a couple of starters which were okay, nothing really special. We also tried the Tomo Roll and Margarita roll, which were really good but the portions were on the smaller side. The ramen, unfortunately, didn't quite hit the spot. Overall, it's a decent place, but we left feeling like something was missing—besides our second round of sushi.

We love the cozy ambiance and very friendly service at Tomo! We were seated immediately (reservation made) and our food came fairly quickly. Everything we ordered was delicious, but the ramen continues to be a favorite! Every time we come to Philly, we make a point to eat here. Don't forget to BYOB.

To find such an amazing restaurant that offers both an array of delicious fish choices and amazingly creative VEGAN options is a dream. This place takes their menu, service and ambiance VERY seriously!!! Can't wait to go back again!!!! Thank you for caring to serve EVERYONE!!!!! 👍🏻😊🔥❤️

Great sushi and it's byob. What more can you ask for? It's a nice alternative to higher end places in the area like tuna bar that's relatively the same but more expensive

My boyfriend and I had our first date at Tomo 3 years ago and have been come there for our anniversary ever since (sat next the window every time). We love the food ( Bugz and Philly Special are always ordered), service, and atmosphere. Tomo is our go to sushi place in Philly (worth the drive from Delaware).
