The best is Tony Lukes Steaks on Oregon Ave. Steak is sliced to order per sandwich, the freashness and freash baked rolls can't be beat. I tasted all the rest in the city and Dattilos is second.
Not the place it once was, I didn't even recognize the roast pork sandwich they gave me.

The cheesesteaks are the best in my opinion they actually have a really good flavor in just the meat it's self then you add the topping and cheese o my gosh so yummy. I tell anyone I know who goes to Philly that if they want the best cheese steak that they need to give Tony's a try. I will say that if it's after the game win or lose it's going to be packet so be prepared to wait for a bit. But I promise it's worth it.
