as long as quality coffee exists, cold wet gray days don’t make for the severe downer that they could be. stopped here before walking to Center City. ordered a large Americano—carefully crafted by the barista who took my order. the coffee was smooth and deep in flavor…served super hot which is a necessity on those chilly sun-less days. the service was pleasant. tbh, if i didn’t have a lunch destination, i would’ve ordered one of the signature liege waffle which look good. the cafe / coffee shop has plenty of seating with a warm yet modern feel whether you’re working, studying, or just need a moment of respite from the din of life. look forward to stop here during warmer days!

The barista who served me was super nice, the creme brulee latte I had was delicious and the waffles were the best I've ever had!I had to wait a few hours after arriving at the Philly train station, I'd recommend stopping by if you're arriving from the train station like me or to come chat here with your friend

I work right down the street from Top Hat and when I'm craving a crafted beverage: its SUCH a good choice. It recently had a Vanilla Nitro Cold Brew on special that was just the perfect blend of sweetness, smooth Nitro, and crispness. I would drink iced coffee any day of the week, and I would drink this one in particular every day. I've had the ballsy goat waffle on other trips and its the perfect blend of sweet and savory: balsamic reduction, goat cheese, strawberries: it sounds unusual but its honestly just the right balance. I really want to try more of their items. I will note: they are not cheap. But I think the quality and attention to detail is worth it.

Parking is impossible to find. The espresso is fantastic. I had to double park and send my friend in to get me a Cortado. So worth it.

This place is golden. The food options are super creative. Stunning Arduino espresso machine and good-hearted funny staff. Certain drinks come in smaller sizes by default so maybe just check with the barista to make sure you’re getting what you want!

I eat, sleep, and breathe here. I don't know how I haven't written this review sooner. As a penn student nearby I'm here every weekend and this place checks a lot of boxes for me : outlets, lots of seating, wifi, bathroom, water refill, some natural sunlight, food & drinks, etc. The only food they offer are baked goods and waffles so enough to hold you over while studying. The smoothies are good but not great. It ends up separating sometimes and its not super smooth but I still enjoy them.
