Food is not as good as it used to be. A small platter is now $22-23 dollars now and rice is not included with the platter it’s considered a side you have to pay for which the lady DID NOT explain until she made my food. I got a small oxtail platter for $25 Mac, cabbage and rice. The Mac is not good at all. Literally only taste like noodles with no cheese.. the cabbage doesn’t have flavor either it’s bland like they just boiled it.. Only thing good is the gravy from the ox and the rice. I’m not sure if they are under new management but when they first opened they were good, as of right now im not happy with my decision to eat from them today. Both of my sides were not flavorful at all. Since the price is going up I’d expect that the food would be better… that’s not the case here it’s gotten worse sad to say.

The food at top taste is always on point. No complaints at all. Curry chicken, rice and peas, and mac and cheese!! You can't go wrong with that.

I love Top Taste. If I wasn't watching my weight, I would eat there more often. For anyone who wants a great breakfast, you will not be disappointed. Not only is the food excellent but the staff is very friendly and efficient. Highly, highly recommended.

I am rating this place based on poor customer service only. Unfortunately, we couldn't try the food out because we waited 2 hours and decided to leave. The first impression was good. The kitchen was clean, etc. In the waiting area, there was an infestation of flies. There were smashed flies all over the windows and door which was a major turn off for me. We ordered our food and was the first customer for the day. They informed it would be a 20-minute wait which is appropriate. We sat in our car for 30 minutes and went back in assuming our food is ready. This time we were greeted by a man with a lot of hair and no hair net asking us what we ordered. We told him and he informed our food was next. An hour later I watched people that ordered after us received their food, and they still don't have a reason why our food wasn't cooked. Basically, they will honor regular customer over anyone that they don't know. This business needs to learn organization, they need an exterminator or fly traps, and all of the cooks and people behind the counter need hair AND beard nets. Its ashamed I looked forward to supporting this business. After sitting there today for two hours, it is a big hell no.

Instead of the lady saying they didn't have any more curry goat she just loaded my platter up with bones and gravy. So no I will not be back

Best breakfast I've had in a long time. Home fries were divine and every bite was a joy. 10/10 can't wait to try more

I ordered pickup through Grubhub. I went to pick it up, and was met with a very ignorant worker. I wouldn’t even want her serving me food. I told her my name and order, she immediately got nasty saying it’s not in their system. She also said there’s another location but I tried to show her I was at the correct location on the app. She kept saying come look at the screen if you don’t believe me. I was only trying to sort it out since my card had already been charged.

I’ve never eaten here before. The food just maybe good but I’ll never know. The customer service I experienced today was horrible. This lady was very rude and ignorant. Customer service is equally essential to good business.

This Top Taste Location on A 73rd and Elmwood Ave has great food. The store is definitely worth giving the food a try. Kind of a staple in the area. Keep up the good work 👍

If you are in this area, i highly recommend going here. The food is good, and the portions are fair. Go here rather than the restaurant in Penrose Plaza. 3 stars for service due to the fact that there is only one server.

This restaurant is PERFECT if you like nasty food along side with nasty service. I would never eat food from a place where the server yells at you because you don’t like your GREENS MIXED WITH CABBAGE. They want your money but they think they can talk to you any way. The food is not that great and the place is not that clean

This is prob my 2nd or 3rd review ever and after eating this food I had to come on here and say something. I’ve had Jamaican food in many different places (Atlanta and Cali), but this was without a doubt, probably the best I’ve ever had. The oxtails had a Smokey but traditional flavor that was cooked to perfection, along with the jerk chicken that was not dry at all and had good spice. Well done guys. It’s all I’ll be eating while visiting here. For a hole in the wall with 200 reviews and authentic grandma cooking in the back I give 11/10.

Went in for an oxtail platter, but got a greens platter instead. The food was very seasoned and tasty, but won't be patronizing this establishment again, the cost didn't match what was received.
