If you still like smoking inside a bar, this is your place. The plaster is falling off the ceilings and it's hard to breathe,, but if you're looking for the oldest school location you can experience, those place might be worth a visit.

Guy bald bartender was rude to me and friends even tho the place was completely empty on a Saturday night. And Tops of that, my wallet got stolen out of my jacket pocket while I was playing pool and my card was used at a 7/11 down the street.Avoid this place at all costs

This hotel is located in the middle of the city, perfect location! What I enjoyed the most about this hotel was the staff. I work in hospitality, so my expectations are high. This hotel exceeded my expectations. It's an older building, but it has character. I loved the boutique style theme of this hotel. The rooms are cozy, and I loved the art in the hallway. This hotel will be my hotel whenever I return to Philadelphia!

Clean, modern, well equipped room, however the best thing was interaction with the staff. 100% pleasant, friendly, helpful, and cheerful people. Breakfast some better than typical for this class hotel. Very good experience.

I noticed this new Fairfield Inn located in a perfect center city (Washington West/Gayborhood) location, and decided to give it a try, even though I usually stay at Marriott’s higher-end brands. What a TREAT!!! This was a thoughtfully renovated historic building transformed into a GREAT boutique hotel. Hip decor, a fantastic lobby restaurant/bar poplar with non-guests. Rooms are based on a European model, generally “micro” rooms < 500 sf - BUT some research shows that this building has over 200 configurations over about 220 total rooms. There are many options for larger rooms and footprints. Turns out there is a lot of material written in magazines, etc. praising this trend-setting experiment with Marriott and the Fairfield brand. My favorite thing, the high-end functioning divided light windows in black. Super classy. Can’t wait to go back. Charming staff (housekeeping, valets, front desk, breakfast team).

I'm a local but wanted a hotel room in Center City for the evening of the Super Bowl. This was relatively inexpensive and central to where I wanted to be. This property used to be a fleabag hotel, a step above homeless shelter. There was a fire and, after extensive renovation, here we are. My expectations were low but it was better than I feared it would be, more like a boutique hotel than a typical Fairfield. I got what was billed as a small room, because availability was sparse. When they say small room, believe them. Otherwise, room was fine. Only dealt with front desk staff, who were friendly and allowed a pre-noon check-in, which was appreciated. A bit surprised that, as Marriott Gold, there was no acknowledgement, not even a bottle of water. Walls are pretty thin and outside noise really interfered with sleep, even on a higher floor (mostly Super Bowl revelers, so your situation probably won't be as bad.)

This was the perfect location offering a clean room and super friendly staff! Rooms are small but that’s to be expected. Location is walking distance to everything. We were in town to visit a college and see a show. Would definitely use this hotel again for our next trip!

The lobby and rooms are much smaller than the pictures posted. The customer service is non-existent. We weren’t happy with the room we got, it’s much smaller than what we expected, and as an elite member of Marriott we asked for an upgrade. The manager first said the suites are not offered at this location, then she said they are all booked, which one is it? We asked for something that they are able to offer, such as the room with double beds, then they said I have to pay more for that room. So where is the perk for being an elite member? Also there is not lotion in the room. The front desk person has an attitude.

Cute historical hotel. Rooms are different configurations than a typical hotel which adds to its charm. Only suggestion is to download a white noise app as the garage and moving trucks are so loud right at 5 in the morning.

I had reserved four rooms for a weekend reunion of College friends. From start to finish, we had a fabulous time. We had a King room, which was adequately spaced in an inner city hotel. The bathroom was large and there was plenty of hot water! I loved the rain shower head! The breaktast was mucn better than expected: eggs, two meats, mini frittatas, waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, egg sandwiches, fresh fruit and beverages. Everyone on the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. In the evening, we would sit in the lounge off the lobby and socialize. There is a bar/restaurant onsite, Libertine, which was very busy. The valet parking was $66/day with in/out privileges. We were able to walk to Independence Hall and Penn's Landing. We would like to thank Tod, Teena, Rosi, Mykita, Tyrell, Linda and Deija for their outstanding service. We would not hesitate to return.

This hotel was booked while I was in town for a conference. The hotel lobby is very small. The staff was wonderful at all hours. It’s in a quaint part of the city and walkable to most things. Below are the pros and cons. Pros: Location was good. Walkable to convention hall TV- Tv offered free HBO max and other streaming services. AC- worked super well. I like it really cold in room Friendly staff! Upgraded Rooms Comfortable beds Safe Quiet Cons- Rooms are super tiny! Maybe smaller than a hotel room In Nyc. Breakfast- hotel offers comp breakfast but I thought it was so subpar. Both days I was there there was zero hot food. Waiter inside was nice but offering was not good at all. Lights in hotel room didn’t work Wi-Fi was very spotty. Better reception thru mobile hotspot

I very highly recommend this hotel, I stayed here in October 2022. The staff was wonderful and the location was great in the Gayborhood/Midtown, an area I visit often when I'm in Philadelphia. This is such a unique hotel, it's unlike any other Fairfield I've stayed at before and could probably pass for an Autograph Collection hotel in Philly for it's charm (although I certainly appreciate a gem - Fairfield should be proud of this one!). The room was so comfortable, I felt like I had a little studio right in the city because it wasn't on a chaotic street like Market or Broad, but rather in a metropolitan neighborhood within Center City. The art throughout the hotel added to the stay and the room was very intuitive - for example, a master light switch right by the bed, as well as by the door - I loved that. The little things in the room, like the light-up bathroom mirror and excellent toiletries, contributed to this 5-star review. I would say here again in a heartbeat. Excellent property.

If you're looking for a local bar experience this is it. Cash only so either come prepared or grab cash from the ATM. Drinks are great, prices are reasonable. Atmosphere is inviting and comfortable. They allow smoking inside, so if that's a problem for you, then don't come here. Otherwise, I 100% recommend and I will be coming here for drinks anytime I visit Philly.

A true dive, pauly the bartender is great. You can play pool, smoke inside, and drinks are cheap. Anyone who rates this badly probably just doesn't smoke, which I can understand. But even without that, the regulars are friendly and the drinks are pouring. Come on up.
