The homemade pasta is really excellent. The texture was perfectly toothsome. I got the cacio e pepperoncini (vegan option) and it was quite good, though the sauce wasn’t my favorite. It felt very oily and I’m not sure if that’s a product of veganizing the sauce. I loved the tangy spice of the pepperoncini though.

The shishito peppers were good, but fairly standard blistered peppers like I’ve had at many other restaurants. The almond / mint sauce was quite nice though.

The plates are generously portioned.

Vegetarian options: They have a few vegetarian options that are clearly labeled. They also have clear labels for dishes that can be made vegetarian or vegan.

Service was fantastic, food was very flavorful.
They have a tasting menu, suggest getting that so you can try multiple items.
Wine offered is from a local PA winery.

My wife and I chose the family style option for 2 for $55 each. Picked 1 cold salad, 1 hot salad, 3 pastas, and 2 desserts. We really enjoyed the focaccia (the bread was awesome) & heirloom tomato salad and the calamari salad (cooked perfectly), the crab & sweet corn pasta was very tasty, the cacio e pepperoncini was spicy, but was a good balance with the other pasta dishes. The pork belly cappalletti was delicious and cooked just a bit al dente which I really liked. The s’mores semifredoo was incredible. Honestly should have had 2 of them instead of the blueberry panna cotta, which was good, but not amazing like the s’mores. The Dry Riesling and Red Carmine wines were just ok in my opinion, not bad, but neither of us were itching for a 2 glass. Overall, really happy with the meal and open to trying different wines next time. Highly recommend.

Had some friends in from out of town and we got a babysitter and took them here. We live a couple blocks away but hadn’t made it here yet so it was nice to finally try it. I was expecting a very good meal, but what I got was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Everything was perfect and delicious, from the bread to the dessert and lots of unique pastas in between. Staff were attentive and courteous. Can’t wait to come back.

Had an excellent meal at Tulip. I got the Stracciatella, the Agnolotti, and the S’mores Semifredo - all good. The Agnolotti was exceptional. Probably the best pasta dish I’ve had in Philly. Service was great. Looking forward to returning!

Went for family style option with 2 apps and 3 pastas, and 2 desserts. Only stand out dish was the beef agnolotti with espresso sauce. They only sell wine from a specific PA winery and they were really subpar- the 2 reds I tried both burned going down. They really should not bill themselves as a wine bar. Not planning to return for this reason. Some very loud clientele also. Attentive wait staff tho.

Great food, and excellent service! We did the tasting menu (2 small plates, 3 pastas, and 2 desserts) at $55 per person for 2 people. It was totally worth it!

Thought the hushpuppies were incredibly seasoned (highly recommend!) and the focaccia was simple but soooooo good! Also recommend the ricotta gnocchi! <3

Vegetarian options: Many of dishes could be made vegetarian if not already were vegetarian. Clear labels on vegetarian, gluten free, and vegan options. They also labeled what could be made vegetarian which was helpful!

Tulip Pasta & Wine Bar focuses on locally sourced Italian food. All of the wine comes from one nearby vineyard in Pennsylvania. The menu features a variety of vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free pasta dishes made from local grains. The service was excellent and we liked the upcycled decor. The problem is that Italy is a mediterranean climate and Pennsylvania isn't. As a result, the pasta tasted strange and the Pennsylvania wine was just awful. We admire Tulip's principles but its food wasn't very good.

Vegetarian options: Many vegetarian and vegan options

Dietary restrictions: Offers gluten-free pasta

Cute place and attentive staff. Unfortunately, neither of us liked our entrees and the wine was not good. Cut our losses and went elsewhere for dessert and a second round.
