Yet another hidden gem in Philly. I came in for the first time today by chance and immediately felt so so so welcomed into the space. It is much smaller of a space than Madis Coffee Roasters (Twisted Grounds has only a few small tables to sit), but the staff is equally as kind, friendly, talkative, and enjoyable to be around. You can quickly tell that the team here has a great rapport with each other, and it makes the atmosphere comfortable and fun to be in. They have super cute...
Fantastic local non-chain/corporate coffee joint. Fresh pastries, coffee & tea drinks, small banquette inside, shady tables and chairs on sidewalk under trees. Think casual morning meetups, kids in strollers, dogs relaxing under chairs. Friendly AF staff.
Great coffee and pastries! My only critique is that food allergens are not clearly communicated. My partner has nut allergies and it would've been nice to know that the coffee cake has walnuts. It wasn't easy to tell from the case. I almost always ask but I haven't seen nuts in coffee cake before (at least without the specifications). More detailed labeling would be super helpful!!!
