They have a huge menu! Many items are vegan and are clearly marked. We didn’t know what was good here so we got a bunch of things to try. The vegan meat shumai were our favorite. My partner really liked the BBQ vegan meat, but it was a bit sweet for me. I also really enjoyed the tofu skin rolls. They were very savory.
Oh dear, where do I began. This was our first dinner in Philadelphia and they absolutely went above and beyond to accommodate us. We arrived at 9:15 and the kitchen closes at 9:30 but did they deliver 😮💨
They took our order with patience and even accommodated to add a dish last min past the closing time. We tried the Mix dumplings, duck with rice crepes, eggplant and tofu stir fry, cold sesame noodles, everything was delicious and tasty. A must try when in Philadelphia. The hosts were super welcoming and accommodating 🙏

Unit Su Vege was tied with Su Xing House for my favorite veggie restaurant (in the U.S.), but unfortunately, Su Xing is closed. Every time I'm in Philly I get Unit Su vege: the bean sprout rolls and cashew tofu and scallion pancakes are favorites. The service is wonderful (tip: they prefer cash to card, if possible).
best vegan chinese food in philadelphia hands down

I ordered from DoorDash, so I can’t comment on the atmosphere or service from the staff.
With that being said, I ordered pad see ew, vegetable tofu soup, and plain white rice. The noodles were bland. Meh at best.
The soup is what killed me, though. First, there was not a lot of tofu and veg in there. Okay, whatever. I wasn’t going to make a big deal out of it. However, it was not disclosed on the DoorDash menu OR ON THE RESTAURANT’S MENU (on their website) that it had cilantro in it. The smell hit me as soon as I opened the container, and I was really not happy about it. If I knew there was cilantro in the soup, I would have never ordered it.
After reading the reviews, I feel a bit lucky that I was just out a meal, but never again.

If I was given a free flight to Philly to visit one restaurant, I'd pick this one without thinking.

Food is so tasty! We have been here at least 8-9 times now and have tried different food items from the menu. I've never been disappointed even once. If something doesn't seem right, they simply change the dish for you. I like their service, attitude and the food!!

A little pricey, but worth it! Most vegan protein options at Chinese places are limited to tofu, and don’t get me wrong there’s nothing wrong with tofu, but sometimes you want something that tastes more like actual meat. I got the sesame seitan and it was fantastic! When I first bit into it I had to do a double take bc I thought it was chicken haha!

I’m embarrassed to say that I was only turned on to this spot last year by my friends. Haven’t had a bad dish here dine in or take out. It is really hard to not eat here multiple times a week.
Fantastic place for dumplings, tofu delights, and steamed buns.
They were very friendly, lots of vegan options, and the food was excellent
Do you ever see people eating dumplings in movies and think, "I wish I could find vegan dumplings like that"? Now you can, there is a whole menu of them at Unit Su Vege and very reasonably priced. My favorite dumplings were the Kung Pao Chicken Bun, but I was so excited to have scallion pancakes again. They are something I truly miss after going vegan, and these did not disappoint. The most shocking think was our bill. This was so affordable and so filling. I can't wait to go back.
