I really like this place but $8.50 for this? This is disappointing.

Another great experience at Unity Java! The breakfast sandwich (scrambled egg with cheddar and Umami Bacon) on an everything bagel hits the spot! I also grabbed a bag of coffee to go! Cortado was more like a latte, but it still tasted great. The service is helpful, and the atmosphere is chill. Great to have this spot in the neighborhood!

EDIT: the reply shows that maybe I misunderstood something or there was some miscommunication. Either way, I updated my review from 3 to 4 stars. Drinks taste very good.
The coffee is delicious but the service was lacking. I realize that it’s my fault that I placed an order at the wrong location, but they didn’t try to help me in terms of a refund, in store credit, or anything. It was my mistake but $15 for a coffee and a cookie with tip? I expected a small token out of it but they just said there’s nothing we can do. So double check your location before you order! It’s a lil pricey but the drinks are good and they were probably just busy. This was the only time I had a subpar experience. :)

To start with the good. There is wifi and nice big windows. So for a place to work it is pretty decent. Also, the staff seemed nice a friendly. Where this place falls on its face is that is the Wawa-like ordering and food. First of all ordering from a kiosk is just so unfriendly for a coffee shop. But way more egregiously the food on the kiosk was a total bate a switch. I ordered a bacon egg and cheese on a bagel and the picture made it look like it was scrambled eggs and cooked bacon. Nope. It is a MICROWAVED EGG slab and the limpest, saddest MICROWAVED BACON imaginable. I looked at the reviews and at least one other person was equally hoodwinked.
Wonderful little coffee/food shop. Involved in community outreach. Everyone is welcome. I wish we had more places like this. And the fresh roasted coffee is AMAZING!!

The barista there was very nice. My only disappointment was how small every item was for the price. Breakfast sandwich was expensive for small piece of bread was cut in half. It was very small and very underwhelming. I would have rather spent my money somewhere where I could get a legit sandwich to start my day. A+ for guy who was on staff that day tho!
I absolutely love Unity Java, both locations. The food is great, they even have a vegan gluten free BYO sandwich option. I always go for the umami bacon, it’s amazing. Their coffee is fantastic.
The service is phenomenal regardless of dine in, take out, pick up, or delivery. They are fast, friendly, clean, any positive adjective you can think of! My delivery experience is always amazing. My items come at the perfect temperature and well packaged. It’s also very quick!
Parking is decent as well. It’s street parking, but for Manayunk it’s great!
I’m so glad I found them!

This place has totally replaced the Wawa breakfast sandwich habit that I had before going vegan. On top of that they make incredible fancy whipped vegan coffees that are a delicious treat. On top of the great food and service, they do a lot of great work to support immigrants and addicts in our community, so I always feel good spending my money with them. They also have a cool book book collection that I enjoy perusing.
Nice, locally owned shop with friendly staff and clean atmosphere. Will definitely consider this as an option in the future.
To start, the food is delicious and there are plenty of dairy free, gluten free and vegan options. There is a community fridge, period supplies in the bathroom, and drug abuse care products by the door and in the bathroom. You can order ahead or order at the screen when you enter. The barista seemed to know most people by name as they entered and asked them about their day.
This is honestly the best coffee I’ve had in Philadelphia and the customer service is excellent. When I walked in every single employee smiled and said hello and one complimented me. The atmosphere is so cute with tons of seating. I was very impressed and of course love Unity’s mission and am more than happy to support it.
Visited for the first time today and had the best experience. Dylan went above and beyond to make sure that I was happy with the flat white I ordered. Absolutely delicious. Very welcoming atmosphere created by Dylan and Amber who, together with the coffee, make me want to return soon.
