Husband and I love this place, get food here at least once a month and it’s always fresh, hot and great. (And if you like sauces on your food, this is THE spot. They have so many options and you can load them up). This past time there was some sort of mess up with their online order system (Toast) and we went in and showed them and they honored the email and charge we got, which makes it feel like it’s a caring and family-like business.

Not good, nothing is fresh to cook. Tacos should be $2. Bad quality, corn pico is disgusting..
although the quality of the food was good, the portion size was lacking, and the overall price was staggering!

I love the idea of Unity and what they stand for, but my review of their taqueria is the same as their coffee shop.
The food is pretty good. Lots of vegetarian options. I've never seen anyone actually eat inside this place. It's cold and reminds me of a locker room. They do have some outdoor tables which I have seen people eat at, though it's along a very busy road.
Ordering is the same as their coffee shop, you poke at the screens in front of the workers without talking to anyone.
Again, overall great concept. I love that they hire formerly incarcerated folks and care about recovery. At the same time, it's still not giving community vibes inside the actual restaurant.

We love Unity. Usually we order delivery from a third party service, and it travels really well. We also love the premise of the business, especially as former food service industry workers. It can get pricey, but we think the quality is absolutely worth it. Plus, the burritos are HUGE. Consistent. I read a lot of the bad reviews on here and honestly, you just can’t make some people happy. We will be back again and again. Thanks guys!! ❤️

Best Quesadillas in philly
Not sure if ice cold tacos are some kind of hipster thing that wasn't communicated, or they just aren't handling food properly, but i was disappointed that my tacos proteins werent even warm

Honestly the tacos were nasty to mid. It wasn’t that good. Idk why the rating is so high. I wasn’t impressed. The chorros were actually nasty. The corn pico de gallo was nasty. It was literally JUST corn. No diced tomatoes, no onions… and then they used the cheapest possible cheese. I was just so disappointed. NEVER again.

Gonna lead with the queso. It slapped, absolutely busting some might say. Like velveta and rotel if I had to guess and I know that sounds less than gourmet but still super yummy. I do have respect for the concept with the whole AA theme and the cliches in the menu and all that. While it may seem super corny, the truth is that there’s probably a lot of addicts in recovery working there and getting a second chance at life, and that is the coolest thing about the place. Like really cool. The food was prepared nicely and the portions were not bad. Won’t deny the taste was disappointing. My girlfriend got this bowl with brisket in it and I kid you not it was like 2”x2” chunks which I thought was kinda cool and generous but when I tried one it was pretty tough and took some gnawing on to get down the hatch it was super tough and nothing like the juicy falling apart kinda stuff. I got chicken tacos. Also cut into larger chunks. These were a little smaller than those big brisket chunks though, almost cubed not shredded like I expected. All in all, it was food. I did wish I picked another Mexican restaurant since I had a craving for some real deal Mexican but I am glad that at the very least the money went to something associated with people in recovery. It wasn’t terrible food or anything it just wasn’t good. It was like American food but dressed in Mexican clothing. ??♂️
