Friend touted Uptown Seafood $ shrimp promo, so I decided to give them a play since I was up in G’town. Came on wrong day of promo but placed orders anyway!Highly disappointed! Placed $70 shrimp take out order. On my way home, thought I’d do a quick taste test & order was wrong , missing FF. Called gave US a heads up that order was missing FF & was coming back to pick them. Person on phone seemed confused & couldn’t grasp what I was saying. ( I get it’s a restaurant & they take a lot of calls) instead of saying ok, I’ll be happy to review order when you get here. She went through this whole math calculation of order..but her math was incorrect. Frustrated bc food now getting cold, missing food I returned to restaurant. Asked to speak w/owner M. Dodd he wasn’t in .M.Dodd you need to do a better job w/service. Btw, most seafood “take outs” offer 1st order of cocktail complimentary.First impressions are lasting impressions.I don’t mind paying $$ but good service & food quality is a “must have”.?

I live directly across the street and will never eat their food....they used to let you walk in the place and that's when you can smell how bad the food is.....the whole place smells like bad seafood ,which means it's bad seafood and . I can tell the Customer Service sucks because everyone that walking in there looks mad and upset.....lol.....this is why sometimes you can't support black own business....they need Customer service training.

Was very dissatisfied with the crab cake made with imitation crab meat. Loved the flavor in the crab fries, but was once again disappointed to find imitation crab meat.

I ordered the seafood bowl because I was told it had scallops lump crab and shrimp.. I ordered it with spinach they put broccoli on it instead and not one scallop and absolutely no taste for $21 they should be ashamed never again

I ordered the uptown crab fries ? they were stuck together dried out and hard!!! No sign of crabmeat anywhere. I paid $10 for fries I couldn't eat.

Nasty food. Scallops are not fresh and the fried batter fell off. The chicken wings are tiny and probably not actually chicken. The fries are soggy and gross

First time trying it out will be the last time ..the food was terrible how can you mess up seafood..we couldn’t eat the scallops because they were burnt and and the scallops was brown .

Tues " Thurs and Saturday is dollar shrimp day!!! I had the fried and sautéed. Both were great. Also the best 7-up cake Ive ever tasted. Any drawbacks came from bad cutomer service. Also the wait. I called my order in drove 20 mins and still had a 10 wait.

The veggie platter is rather small compared to other places and the fact that they sell shrimp but you have to pay for cocktail sauce is mind boggling to me. I can understand paying for extra but not for any
