NO HALAL. The restaurant is called Uzbekistan, so many people might assume it’s halal — but it’s actually not halal. The food was okay, but I think it’s important to make it clear for Muslim customers who are looking for halal options. The name can be misleading.

Been a customer since they opened. Always satisfied. Moved to NC and it’s always a stop for me when I come back up to visit.

Absolutely delicious 🤤
I highly recommend the Olivie and the shish kabobs — outstanding flavors. (I added a bit more salt to the Olivie, but that’s just my personal preference.)

Tea tip: If you order a pot, let it steep for about 4 minutes before pouring — it really brings out the full flavor.

They don't sell alcohol. Repeat. They don't sell alcohol. You need bring it with you. Soup with dumplings and shashlik are great. Worth driving from Philly!

My favorite place in the northeast by far. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making you feel like you’ve stepped into Uzbekistan. The food is incredible—freshly baked bread, flavorful kebabs, and the plov was outstanding. Everything tasted authentic and made with care.

Service was just as impressive. Easily one of the best dining experiences in Philly.

I've been here several times for the shashlik and everything is really great. The ravioli are also excellent, and the bread, and the vegetables. They serve a spicy Uzbek type tomato sauce with the shashlik which I would love to learn to make at home.

I believe they are BYOB if you want alcohol and the drink options seem a bit limited. They sell pitchers or glasses of kompot. If you ask for water with your meal they will sell you bottled water rather than serving tap water.
