Stopped in this place on a whim as we were on our way to the train station. The food was excellent and the cortado I had was delicious. Quiet and modern take on American breakfast/lunch. Would definitely visit again!

Dietary restrictions: I was able to note my peanut/treenut allergy, despite my dish not necessarily having any in it.

Parking: Parking garage around the corner on Walnut Street

Wheelchair accessibility: There are no stairs leading to the cafe. Would be easily accessible for a wheelchair, though the main door is not automatic and would require someone to hold it open (door is quite heavy too).

Went for brunch on Sunday. Made advance reservation and was seated immediately. Good selection of foods and drinks. Server was friendly and attentive. I'm from Delaware, so the $75 bill for 2 people was slightly shocking; but a good meal in a good, clean locatuon.

I came in at 3 PM on a Friday to spend an hour before I had to catch a train. The place was totally empty. I said I did not have a reservation and asked if I could sit at the bar, and the host said "sure thing". I ordered a water to start. The water was hastily served to me in a little twelve-ounce plastic to-go cup with a lid and straw, which I found odd. So I figured maybe they had to reserve glassware for the mixed drinks during their approaching happy hour or something like that? I was not offered a menu. I sat there waiting for ten minutes sipping a stupid to-go cup of tap water. I took off my jacket and hung it over the chair, at which point the host informed me with a concerned tone that if they "got busier with more guests, they would have to ask me to leave". At that point I finally got the hint and left. Wtf even is this establishment? I was dressed business casual and was hygienically clean, it's not like I was causing an issue. Not sure what the deal is, but it's definitely not the kind of place for me.

A really nice brunch menu in a bright, modern looking location just between Center and University City. The food was very good with pleasant, attentive service. Would definitely go back.

Met up with friends from our trip to Switzerland & Austria on Sunday. We met at Walnut Street Cafe as they were traveling from NYC back to Virginia. 3 hours of catching up! Great fun. Brunch was good. Great service (thanks Haley!) at a super convenient location. Food was pretty good. Nothing fancy. My steak and eggs tasted great, but they clearly missed medium rare and over easy. My chocolate peanut butter gelato was fine, but not fresh. Started off with mimosas that I forgot to snap a picture of. Great way to spend a Sunday morning and the weather turned out great by the time we were done!

The burgers here are delicious! I cooked it medium and ordered fries on the side, which was a good choice. The burger was light, not greasy, and had a clean taste. The service is great and the atmosphere is nice. The price for the burger alone is $19 + tip.

I was terribly disappointed by the most terrible staff, the waitress who served me, the fair skin was so rude or the chef who constantly looked at me every minute and made me uncomfortable or not tasty food that I ate, which one should I write about? Not worth your time at all

While waiting to catch my train back to DC, I decided to see where I could find a meal. I found this place and was within walking distance. What a find! It sits right at the corner of 30th Street and Walnut. I was greeted by a very friendly hostess who showed me to a cozy table near the front. The waitress was just as friendly and explained a few things on the menu that I questioned. They were serving brunch and there was lots to choose from. I decided on the home fried potatoes with a spicy aioli sauce served on the side. The menu did note that it was enough for 2 people. To go along with the potatoes, I chose their French toast with maple syrup and added peach cheesecake topping on the side. This was more than enough. The potatoes were cooked with the skin on and they were cut in chunks which made them ideal for dipping into the sauce. The French toast was outstanding! They were melt-in-your mouth good. Just a slight drizzle of maple syrup was all I needed as they had also been sprinkled with powdered sugar. While the peach cheesecake was very good, I added a little as I ate. I enjoyed my meal and the sparkling water (free) was a great way to wash it all down. Should I ever visit Philly again, I will be sure to add this place for a revisit.
