Went Apr 18 '25. Very nice! Friendly. Good coffee, bagels, and peanut butter. Spacious, floor to ceiling glass windows. Nice river view. Lots of seating. Quiet. Wifi. (No mugs provided). Outdoor seating. Walk around to enter at the two sets of doors. The patio has entrance to the Schuylkill River Trail. In the Roberts Center for Pediatric Research.
Very good sandwiches and selection.Plus they stock a really good Australian ginger beer.
Very good deli, great menu, and very nice staff. Walking distance is very good for me.
Awesome food Great smoothies and all kinds of good stuff
Amazing smoked turkey sandwich! We are planning on returning tomorrow.
I spent all of August in Philly and found that Waterfront offered the widest variety and the best sandwiches in the city center area. Their hoagies certainly top Wawa, and probably as good as Primo. Today I had a Cubano panini, really quite good.
Favorite place for fresh deli sandwiches, salads and coffee. Love this place.
Very small, but very goog food. Not your usual deli tood.
It was quiet today, probably due to the dreary weather, but their food was good & coffee excellent.
Oh man, I love this place. Everybody that works here is super friendly and the food is always amazing. I come here for lunch quite often and usually get a whitefish salad on a bagel with one of their homemade soups, but really everything they offer is great. I love how the menu changes often and provides unique takes on popular items. Definitely drop by next time your in the area!!

I never write reviews but after what I saw today, i will not be coming back to this place. First of all, the prices of sandwiches are outrageous, shame on them for charging that much in a Children's hospital building, (Unfortunately, there is no where else to go in the area). Secondly, if you look, you will see that there's no real kitchen to prep food or heat things up, so that's a food health violation and thirdly, I witnessed their male worker heat up pieces of chicken and other meat in a MICROWAVE, and not clean it in between throwing meat in there. The man was literally throwing meat in the microwave to heat it up and place it onto someone's salad. That's disgusting and against health violations. For that reason, I won't be returning.
Supper yum, especially the brownies
My dear friend water front cafe center is very nice for our s time passes with magazine reading of earlier morning people go to were and enjoy with cafe drink thank you all my friends
Waterfront cafe is just a few steps from the Schuylkill River Trail at the ground level of Roberts Center for Advanced Pediatric Research building. To get to the cafe from the trail, you have to walk up the spiral staircase and across the beautifully designed bridge over the train tracks. The cafe was almost empty when I arrived at around 1:45pm. Nice selection of pastries, cold cuts for made to order sandwiches, and serving Illy coffee. The cafe also has limited breakfast menu. The staff at the cafe were friendly with quick service. Both indoor and outdoor dining areas have the view of the river and especially cavernous indoor dining area is spectacular. Tip: At the time of this post, 02/21/2018, after 3pm all the pastries are discounted to $1. I would suggest to double check with staff to make sure the after 3pm pastries special is still going on.
