I was looking forward to celebrating one of my closest friend’s birthday this past month until I received a disappointing message that the event had to be canceled at fault of this venue. For months, I had been researching what “fine wine” attire was in order to enjoy a fantastic time with him and mutual friends but instead the outfit I was excited to wear now hangs in the closet. My plus one could not get her bus ticket refunded so she lost money. The venue, although having had more than the required deposit in advance, had booked a wedding on the same day that my friend was to celebrate his birthday. They did not find a comparable venue to host the large party and took too long to refund my friend the money. The cost, both monetary and time, was too high for this to happen - booking a wedding at a venue for the same date and for the refund to take as long as it did. Due to the unprofessionalism and skills in effective communication of this venue, I cannot recommend this venue for an event.

I regret to say that I cannot recommend The Wine Garden in Philly to anyone. My experience with this business was extremely disappointing and frustrating. I booked this venue in June for a birthday event scheduled for September, but unfortunately, the service I expected was never delivered. From June to August, I consistently made payments as per our contract. However, just four days before my event, the owner informed me that they had given away my slot for a wedding that suddenly came up. I had already made all the necessary payments and had set aside that specific date for my birthday celebration. The owner offered an alternative location, but it lacked several amenities I had paid for, which left me feeling even more disappointed. Despite my concerns, I tried to work things out, hoping for a solution. I asked if the value I paid for would still be upheld at the new location, and the owner assured me it would be.When I saw the photos and videos of the new location, it became clear that it was not suitable for my event. I promptly asked the owner for an alternative, but she failed to respond as promised. As the event date approached, with no response and no suitable venue in sight, I felt compelled to cancel. The owner agreed to refund me, but the process was far from smooth. I was told to wait 5-7 business days for the refund, despite the fact that I had paid through Venmo, which should have allowed for a faster refund. To my dismay, the money did not arrive within the promised timeframe, and communication with the owner was sporadic at best.Eventually, the owner processed the refund through Venmo, raising concerns about why this wasn't done earlier. Throughout this ordeal, the business displayed a lack of professionalism, unresponsiveness, and condescension. The customer service I received was far below my expectations.Due to this experience, my birthday plans were ruined, and my guests who had booked flights and hotels faced unnecessary inconveniences. I'm sharing this review to warn others about my unfortunate experience and the unsatisfactory service provided by this business.

My friend’s birthday experience was ruined by this establishment “giving away” his slot, 4 days to the date. He’d been paying for it since June, friends and family had flown out and booked hotels. To make matters worse they delayed his refund. Communication was poor and professionalism was nonexistent. Would not

I had been eagerly looking forward to celebrating my friend's birthday at The Wine Garden, but was met with disappointment and frustration. My friend was expecting a large group of guests for his birthday celebration, and The Wine Garden had promised to accommodate us. The event had been booked well in advance, and we were all looking forward to celebrating in style. However, without any prior notice or consideration, they replaced his event with a wedding. This last-minute decision left us in complete shock and frustration. It's simply unacceptable to cancel a reservation, especially one that had been planned months in advance, and replace it with another event without giving us adequate options for a backup plan. The lack of professionalism displayed by The Wine Garden was truly disappointing. They showed a complete disregard for their customers' plans and failed to communicate effectively. It was clear that they were more interested in accommodating a larger party than honoring their commitments to my friend's birthday celebration.I cannot, in good conscience, recommend anyone to use The Wine Garden's services in the future. Their inability to honor reservations, their last-minute changes, and their overall lack of professionalism left a sour taste in my mouth, and I believe others should be aware of the potential disappointment they may face when booking events at this establishment.

A friend and I went to the wine garden for a game night and I have to say I had a ok time but it just wasn’t what I expected. The only option for food during the event were wings. I had a couple froze’s to drink but there were other options. The froze machine wasn’t operational the whole time. I was able to get a seat because I got there early but there were some people who had trouble finding seating. It is a very small entirely outdoor location with a portable potty. The decor is cute. I’m not sure if the space was rented for the event I attended but we played musical bingo which was fun it just wasn’t consistent or what I expected.Parking: You have to find parking on the street

The Cinco De Mayo grand re-opening (which is my birthday) was a hot mess. First of all it was overly packed for such a small space. It went from reservations to a free for all and there wasn’t anywhere to sit. The pathway where the lines were formed was unstable so people was rocking back and forth on it and one girl fell into me bc she had on heels. The drinks were overpriced and nasty I threw mine out. I ended up supporting the restaurant and lounge next door bc this place was unbearable.

A mess. They had the grand season opening on Cinco de Mayo at the tiny location on Baltimore Ave. The food and drink line moved so slow. It was no where to sit. They have 2 locations and the chose the small one to have a season grand opening ON Cinco de Mayo. On top of it originally being an eventbrite general admission ticket and then later being no reservations....like what??? We was annoyed and left within 15 mins of standing in the food line. Byeee!! THEY AINT EVEN CHECK THE TICKET. I really rather give 0 zero stars.

Wine Garden Stole My Money - On 9/15/22, I bought (4) tickets to Wine Garden's Center City Brunch at 4PM for my 30th birthday totaling $625.76. When I arrived on location to my surprise, the owner, Ms. Naz, was closing up the event venue with staff. She had informed me that another patron booked both the noon and 4 PM brunch timeslots, for a private event, and that I should not have been able to purchase tickets for the 4 PM brunch. She assured me that I would be fully reimbursed for my tickets, including Eventbrite taxes and fees, and would even issued me free tickets to their brunch. I was unable to attend the following brunches but was reassured multiple times that I would be issued a refund between 5-7 business days. A month later and I had felt that my patience and flexibility in this situation was being taken advantage of. Ms. Naz assured me on 10/24/22 I would receive my refund, but I didn't. I eventually was able to request and receive a full refund via Eventbrite. Wine Garden's dishonesty and lack of professional customer service by not issuing me a timely refund for an event that they failed to remove from their Eventbrite page has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Traveled almost 2 hrs to attend a birthday brunch.Positives:DJ was lit; Friendly owner and staff; fun atmosphere; great Ambiance to take great pictures; light, pretty, & flavorful themed drinks -red sangria, mimosas, frozen rose’, white wine topped with cotton candy.Negatives:Overpriced $156.44 ( $135 plus tax & fees) for the brunch buffet menu/ spread served.A lot of food listed online was unavailable . (No shrimp, grits, quiche, omelette, fruits , vegetables, Caesar salad). Menu was pastries, toss salad, sausage, waffle halves, potato wedges, fried Chicken. Parties were served closer to or at 1 pm. All drinks were not ready right away. Since this is a 3 hour event, all food and drinks should be readily available at the start.Tight seating, someone had to get up every time I wanted to get up. Table was under tree so fresh bird p*** was a problem at my seatNo live entertainmentOwner stated normal caterer was unavailable and she was understaffed- perhaps because of this all customers should have received some sort of accommodations.Good to know-Parking in Philly is a headache In itself, since there are No parking accommodations make sure you add that time in your travel plans to find a place to park.-1 restroom

The most amazing day party experience! Food, fashion, frosé! What more do you need??? And the food is delish! This mother/daughter duo has added the brunch flare the city needed. Looking forward to seasons to come.
