Tremendous venue. Sound is solid, room is intimate, parking is easy by Philly standards.
The staff have always been a huge part of the reason I tolerate World Cafe’s *many* shortcomings as a venue—the staff have always been warm, welcoming, and extremely good at their jobs.
Meanwhile, the exodus of several long-term and higher-up employees speaks VOLUMES about the new leadership.
Shame on WCL for firing people for speaking out about *not getting paid*. Shame on this venue for treating its staff and artists so poorly. Avoid this place if you care...read full review
