The curry needs serious work, somehow it was watered down and sweet? Not savory at all, all very confusing because the blocks of curry you get from the store is miles better, like you would have to deviate from the directions on the box to make it worse but somehow they did it. Not very confident they even added salt to the chicken. Gyoza filling tasted like matza.Sushi was good, wouldn’t bother with anything else.Dietary restrictions: Lots of sodium free options

Outstanding service from the host as soon as we walked in. All around prompt, courteous and friendly from service from whole staff. The food was really good and great variety on the menu with quite a few unique things I have not tried before. I am always searching for restaurants that put new things on the menu that aren't typical Americanized food and this place does a great job with that.

Appetizers (calamari and dumplings) and sushi were delish. And Moses was a professional and attentive server. Prices were reasonable.

We’ve had carry out and dined in. The biggest draw to this place, rightfully so, is the sushi. We have always had excellent and flavorful sushi here.

I’ve been coming to Yanako for over a year and every time I order here I ask for no wasabi. It continually gets put into my order which is a $90 take out order that I get through the restaurant. It gets on the sushi and one of us does not like wasabi so it ruins the pieces. This has happened the last 3 times I’ve ordered from them, but I let it go. Tonight I called because it’s gotten ridiculous that they cannot figure this out….. as a resolution I was offered a seaweed salad. They didn’t offer to remake anything or even offer to give a credit for a roll of sushi next time.I’m not sure who the owner is, but i would hope this isn’t how you train your employees to treat your customers, especially people who come to your restaurant at least once a month sometimes multiple times a month.

We enjoyed our dinner there. The rice in sushirolls is extremely soft, it wasn't good. Sashimi is excellent.

Quite disappointed by the food. The sushis we got were fine in terms of taste, but given the portion (smaller size than usual) and ingredients (fewer than usual for non-basic rolls/sushis), they were overpriced. The pork buns were not very warm — the buns were a tad hard to chew. Only the chicken yakitori was yummy.Otherwise, great service and good ambiance (it was quite loud but it was a Friday evening, so perhaps hard to find a calm place at that time!).

Had a great time here! Byob so make sure to bring your own special wine. Sushi was outstanding. They had a great tuna special for the night we really enjoyed. It was super quiet here for a Sunday night. There was only one other couple the entire time we were there. The edamame was tasty but I wish I had gotten dessert!

Best sushi in the city so far. It felt like I was back in Japan (Kyoto, or Osaka) with this quality. The soy sauce was an amazing touch. It tasted further fermented or aged. Highly recommend! Great menu, went for Udon but ended up getting the sushi experience ?Well worth the money. Plus the corkage fee is a solid and reasonable $3!

Very gentrified food. Doesn't taste like it even tried to be true to Japanese food. It's all like vegan or experimental sushi or udon. Waited 30 mins before we even received JUST our drinks even though we made sure to order our drinks and meals at the same time. Even then, our food only started coming at the 45 min mark. Paid 7 dollars for 2 chicken skewers. They don't even have ramen here. Just udon. The decor isn't as Japanese as a picture I saw on Google maps but I realized that Pic was taken 5 years ago. Maybe this place had it's good days but it definitely fell off.
