The spice level was good. More of a Fujianese style menu.

Just had such a wonderful dinner at this cozy Sichuan restaurant! We ordered the Wanzhou Grilled Fish and Pork Belly with Garlic Sauce — both were absolutely delicious and really hit the spot. The fish was super fresh, and the side ingredients were so flavorful. I especially loved the potato strips and black fungus — they soaked up all that rich, savory broth and were just amazing.

The pork belly was also fantastic — tender, flavorful, and packed with that bold, garlicky taste I love. You can really tell they use quality ingredients.

What really made the experience special was the lady boss. She was so warm and thoughtful. At first, we wanted the garlic-flavored grilled fish, but sadly it was sold out. She noticed we probably can’t handle too much spice and kindly suggested the savory sauce version instead — and honestly, it was the perfect match for our taste. Felt like she really cared.

Even though the place was quite busy with lots of regulars coming in for dinner, she still managed to take great care of every table. That kind of attentive service is rare and really appreciated.

This place has such a welcoming vibe — great food, lovely people, and an overall heartwarming experience. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending it to all my friends. Can’t wait for the next visit!

Authentic Chinese food, specialized in Sichuan style. Be aware about the street parking: you must pay right away or a swift parking maid will slip a $26 ticket under your windshield wiper 😒

I was really disappointed with my experience. I wanted a simple, classic Chinese food order, but they gave me something completely different. The only thing I could eat was the plain white rice — everything else went in the trash. On top of that, the prices are too high for what you get. Communication was also very difficult since they didn’t speak English, and I had to order using Google Translate. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back.

literally one of the best szechuan restaurants I have been to in a very long time and the best to go to outside of Chinatown in Philly. the spice level was perfect and their menu was diverse. it’s so refreshing to see a szechuan place know which proteins are best for which dishes. I will be back!!!

I went yesterday night with my family, the food there was AMAZING!! Most of the dishes were spicy and so flavorful. This is the one restaurant my family keeps going back to every once in a while 😭. The staff members were also very polite and friendly.

I was craving authentic Sichuan food that reminded me of my hometown, and this place came up as the closest option in my search. The photos looked amazing, so I decided to give it a try. Parking was a bit tight, but that’s understandable for Northeast Philly. I really enjoyed the dry pot fish I ordered. The glutinous rice cake was a pleasant surprise—I didn’t expect to find a dish from my childhood memories here. Both my husband and kids loved the food and are already asking to go back in the future.

Ever since the new Szechuan gourmet launched, everything’s leveled to an unbelievably authentic Szechuan food, highly appreciated by people coming from Szechuan. I personally visit this place regularly now, nothing that I ever ordered I would dislike. They are the only authentic Szechuan restaurant, I’m confident to say, among pretty much all eastern U.S. just simply looking at the way they process their ingredients and material, so descent! Now you feel no worry to order things like pork feet, pork kidney and liver, as they cleaned them quite nicely that you won’t smell or taste anything funny.
