Zaffron Mediterranean Grill

My friend and I went into this food place with high hopes and positive attitudes. We asked if the food was halal because my friend could only eat halal food to which the Aunty said only chicken and steak was halal but in reality we had no idea what she was saying because she was mumbling and giving us bad attitude. When we got our food my friend said the steak smelled like it was not halal which resulted in her having no lunch. Here is where things get interesting. When i opened my food it looked like there was clearly nothing there. For $15 dollars it was clear the ladies were being racist or something cause tell me why the uncle behind us looked like his plate was overflowing while ours was underfilled. MIND YOU WHEN UNCLE WAS ORDERING AUNTY WAS LOOKING AT HIM UP AND DOWN LIKE SHE WANTED THAT COOKIE BADDDDDD. BUT ANYWAYS, when I tried the rice it tasted like plastic and was unseasoned and not even fully cooked. A one year old could make better rice then that and how do you even mess up rice. I then tried everything else and it was unseasoned and bland. LEMME TELL U ABOUT THE SAUCE THO. THE SAUCES WERE ATROCIOUS. THEY LITERALLY WERE UNSEASONED AND TASTED AND LOOKED LIKE THROW UP. Seriously the worst food ever. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE. THE SCHOOL DISTRICTS FREEBIE LUNCH IS 10000X BETTER THEN WHATEVER THIS IS. IT LITERALLY NEEDS TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR HOW BAD IT IS.

Food is fresh and good. She took the steak out fresh and there it on the grill. Cleaned hands and changed gloves in between tasks.

I visited the establishment yesterday and found the food to be satisfactory, but not exceptional. I would not have considered writing a review had I not become severely ill after consuming the meal. I experienced significant inflammation, pain, and ultimately vomited the entire meal. As this was my first meal of the day and I became ill shortly after, I am confident that the food was the cause of my distress. I regularly enjoy Mediterranean cuisine and am certain that I have no allergies to any of the ingredients typically used in such dishes.

I love the food here, but to see a server put old food that fall offs as they serve back into the bowl and actually scrapping and digging with her nasty bare nails that suppose to want to serve me clean food use her bare skin, cream looking nails, and puts its back in the food almost made me throw up because I caught them off guard coming from the side where they couldn’t see me come up appose to me walking straight up on them where they would have had to see me enter. That was an older woman, and the young girl there has no patience and she’s rude she’s has brown hair the only people nice there is the Muslim women and the 1 man I see all the time. I wouldn’t trust those servers to serve anyone clean food they would eat with there nasty selves

Super pleased with this dining experience. Very friendly people who care. Prices are low considering the fresh food. We had the tasty hummus and the Mediterranean chicken salad which was delicious and plentiful. Easy to customize the salad with ingredients you want. Good meals for 2 people under $20.
