Absolutely delicious food. Great prices! The best Jamaican/ carribean spot in Germantown without a doubt. Order from here you will not be disappointed.

Went to Zions for a quick takeout with my sibling. We've been trying different Caribbean cuisine spots around Philly and this restaurant was by far the biggest let down. To their benefit we did go there later in the day but shouldn't be a excuse for the quality received
Atmosphere was poor, nothing welcoming about the place and the kitchen lights were off
Service was bad, they had no jerk chicken which Is wild because people mainly go to Caribbean spots for oxtail or jerk chicken and I had to wait for the Mac and Cheese which I didnt mind until I tasted it.
The Food... The Presentation was great and the food smelled delicious. The Mac was unforgivably bland, the cheesed lacked flavor and lacked salt. The yams were not sweet. My guess to these issues are having the food sit all day under heat caused condensation and the food just sat in water which probably drained out all the flavor. Due to them being out of jerk , I got curry my sibling got bbq. We both agreed the chicken was solid. I got an extra side of greens and cabbage, but I've already been let down enough for today so imma gonna take the L on the food but hopefully they can solve these issues.

The food is good but they can never get your order right…won’t be returning. I got all the way home to find out that they didn’t give me what I ordered

Meat was very savory and rich in bbq and the rice was nicely seasoned. Very nice staff. Go support small businesses like these!

I love Zion's Cuisine. It is a neighborhood gem and I will miss it if/ when I move out. I usually get brown stew chicken, beef stew, or pepper steak. The food is affordable, delicious, and healthy, and a large platter is good for 2-3 big meals (I do use rice from home to stretch it). Zion's is my go-to when I don't have the time or energy to make something decent for myself. No restaurant review is complete without a criticism, so: I wish they made it clear what is available each day. This goes for all Jamaican spots, but it seems like every day there is something they don't have. Knowing what's available with an updated list (instead of an interrogation at the order counter) would also give me the opportunity to try dishes I haven't before, such as their soups and breakfast items. Also, although their cabbage is the best Jamaican cabbage I've ever had, when I get cabbage and greens as sides I wish they would put my greens in the little slot for sides instead of always the cabbage. I end up with enough cabbage for two meals but only one meal worth of greens. Maybe greens are more expensive for them.. I will ask to pay extra for this next time and see what they say.Overall, Zion's is my favorite restaurant in the area and I am already looking forward to the next time I fall woefully behind on my food prep.

I got the curry goat and curry chicken. Both were delicious. Would like more sauce when you ask for extra gravy.
