Friendly staff created welcoming environment. Outstanding seafood dishes wowed with flavor. Successful restaurant was a bit overcrowded which was tolerable in light of excellent food and service. Heard more from neighboring table than I cared to hear. Again, excellent food did easily draw focus away from neighbors to the purpose of the visit - to enjoy excellent seafood.
I had the shrimp and grits which came with an unexpected broth. It was a mix of flavors. It did not hold up to the same level of food that I have had in the past at this restaurant. The waiter provided great service.
We've been eyeing up Black Lab Bistro for years, but it left a lot to be desired. For meals ranging from $30-$50, I wouldn't expect the hostess to be in sweatpants. It took 15 minutes for a server to come over to us. The appetizers were fine, the tuna tartar was flavorless and mostly rice and seaweed. We each got the duck and shrimp. The shrimp were absolutely phenomenal, incredible flavor. Everything else was mediocre. The mashed potato's were equivalent to a cafeterias, and lacked any flavor. We were long done our meals before anyone came to check in on us. Things were fine- but with so many great options to dine in town, we won't be rushing back.
Delicious food, and lovely extra mushroom soup provided. Loved the duck dishes, The service was excellent and we totally enjoyed our experience.
Fantastic spot. The food is excellent, as is the service. BYOB. We went for Thanksgiving. Excellent. Highly recommend.
First time we have ever eaten out for Thanksgiving, decided we would take the chance this year and none of us were disappointed!! Food was fantastic, we all had something different, ribeye, Crabcake, short ribs, several appetizers and everyone enjoyed it. The desserts were also extremely different and tasty . We will be back in the near future.
We love that Black Lab is byob. Everything is so expensive these days so it's nice to save money on alcohol. Food was good...not gourmet but comforting. Portions are small so order an appetizer before entree if you are hungry. Service was excellent.
Everything was delicious, from the appetizer to the dessert.

This was the perfect place to have an incredible dinner and good conversation with a group of friends. I love that it's a BYOB. The filet was cooked to perfection. The service, as always, was impeccable.
It took a long time to get our food but every other thing was perfect. The staff are quite nice, professional and responsive. I'd go, again, without question.

It was a great experience, and the food was awesome. We loved it and will definitely be going again.
Food was only mediocre. Noise level was way too loud. Couldn't have a conversation with dinner partner without yelling. Service was OK.
Food and service is consistently good here and prices are in line with the quality. Remember to BYOB if you want a drink. One of the best in the area in my opinion.
Good food, great prices for the quality. The inside needs some TLC otherwise very nice BYO
Lovely and quiet on a Wednesday evening. Food selection was good, and beautifully presented. Our server was wonderful.
