Have been to the “new” Bob’s Haven aka The New Haven Cafe 3 times now and the last two times have put us off another attempt. Sandwiches not as ordered and just picked up a couple of cheese steaks that had hardly any meat and the cheese wasn’t even fully melted - That’s just complete disinterest in your customer and their experience.

I'm not a local. I stopped in for a drink and decided to grab a slice to go. Really nice people, and with a ton of space, I see that they have some plans for the future. The pizza was a surprise. I don't expect much from pizza in PA, even though I grew up in Allentown. This was crispy, not too thick and the sauce had a good flavor. Not spicy or sweet. Good cheese to crust ratio and the toppings were evenly distributed. Keep up the good work!

Now called The New Haven Cafe. Typically does pizza and hoagies. When my local breakfast spot stopped serving breakfast, needed New spot. I was welcomed at door. You know you are going to love a breakfast when you have great smell of breakfast. Ordered breakfast sandwich egg, cheese, bacon & sausage on English muffin. Best breakfast sandwich I have in long time. I'll be back tomorrow.

Long time Haven customer. I’d read some mixed reviews since the new owners took over. Went on Friday to order 4 hoagies for our annual trip to Penn St Football. I was met by very friendly staff. The hoagies were perfectly made and were every bit as good as they were before. Would definitely get hoagies there again

This was the 4th time we placed an order and most likely out last. Order is either missing something or food is wrong. Ordered a steak zep got a cheese steak ordered a pepperoni Stromboli had lots of. Melted cheese no pepperoni ordered an Italian zep had tons of ham and 2 pieces of salami. It is very disappointing since we would order at least once or twice a month and would have hoped the new owners would have been able to live up to the old owners. Sorry guys came back after 3 strikes 4 strikes definitely done!

As a 40-year consistent customer I was deeply disappointed by the changes introduced by new owners. To make room for tables in what has always been a takeout place, the inventory and variety of drinks and snack items has been severely curtailed. I ordered my usual pork zep and got a wholly unrecognizable construct covered in gravy without onions, tomatoes, oregano or cheese. The ability to understand the difference between a zep and hoagie and whatever that was that I was served was one thing that distinguished the old Bob's Haven from the rest of the pack. If new owners want to change the menu, knock yourself out---but don't just adopt the old menu without understanding what the terms mean!
