Friday night ordered the g steak. Had it several times at lunch and it was delicious. However, it came on a long roll instead of a kaiser roll. The meat was definitely not what I had had at lunch. Was the same chipped meat you get in most steak sandwiches and the worst pat was that it was so salty it was almost inedible. Been coming here off and on for a while. It's a cozy little spot, definitely my jam. Speaking of they actually have orange marmalade so extra points đź‘Ť Service is hit or miss, usually good though. Tasty, homey food, solid local diner fare. This past weekend however left me both bemused and mildly annoyed. I ordered the omelet special, which was supposed to come with chicken sausage, but when I got it...it was hotdogs. I don't care how you slice it, this was straight-up...
I had lunch at G Lodge Café and loved it! I ordered the tuna salad sandwich on whole wheat bread super fresh, light, and generously filled, served with crispy potato chips. My husband tried the steak omelet, which was hearty and flavorful, with tender meat, perfectly cooked eggs, and golden hash browns topped with ketchup, so good!
