The photos are not even close to the reality. The place is only opened on Fridays for 3 hours. Long story short, have a low expectation when you walk in.

After visiting I read other reviews and agree that this is not your standard coffee shop. It also appears to possibly have slipped in quality from the photos that are posted from a few years ago. In the photos it appears to be a full service coffee shop, with a clean counter and service area. However the reality I experienced was a table covered with an old table cloth and a self service coffee pot. Not quite what I was expecting. Still great coffee, service, and quiet space to work, but im not sure I would go out of my way to come back.

For those not familiar with the area like myself, this is not a full service coffee shop. They have drip coffee, but no espressos machine or lattes, despite the photo of the latte in the album. It’s great if you know what to expect. They have delicious pastries and very nice staff. It’s in a giant open space in a relatively vacant building. I was disappointed hoping for a latte and coffee shop and this is neither.

Regular customer of their booth at Downingtown Farmers Market. Never disappointed. Tried the chocolate ganache galette today. Wished I had purchased more than 1.

A little bit difficult to locate but very nice pastries. Well baked and tasty. They also have bread and coffee/tea available for purchase.

Love everything about Heart Stone! Their pastries are amazing - the hand pies and the babkas are a must try!

I stumbled upon this coffee shop after a yoga class at Nectar Yoga Studio (which is in the same building). The barista and other workers were lovely. I don't regularly drink coffee so I ordered a strawberry chamomile kombucha and a GF chocolate/almond cookie. The kombucha is made locally (Baba's brew) and is one of my favorites. I loved that my drink was served in a glass rather than plastic! The cookie was delicious and one of the workers immediately cleared away my plate when I was finished. I'll definitely be back again! There's plenty of space to work or hang out with friends. If you need WiFi, the info is at the register.

Great coffee and cookies! And don't miss the pop up on Friday mornings. They make so many different things: bread, yogurt breakfast snacks/breakfast pastries and more!

Such wonderful people dedicated to excellence, community growth and joyful relationships. Doesn’t hurt that the bread and coffee is amazing!!

Peter is one of the most thoughtful people I've met, he makes sure customers are taken care of and he and the employees take pride in their wonderful work. I look forward to seeing everyone, mostly because it means I get bagels at the end.
