This place has a poor selection of beer and alcohol choices. Even though they don't offer an extensive option of meals, they ran out of ribeye steak sandwiches, on a Saturday at 6pm. The bar tender delivering us the bad news was passive aggressive and didn't finish taking an alternet order. This place is a horrible place to grab some food and drink. Absolutely the worst brew house I've ever visited. Don't have high expectations for this place, there are a lot of other better choices in Phoenixville.

Not everyone buys your food...not wise to exclude those who do because they are the ones that have been there talking you up all along....

We had a surprise birthday party for my brother there, and if I could give them 1000 stars, I would. Everything was great - the service, the food, the drinks, and they let us set up and do our thing in their really cool space on a Saturday night - it was priceless. Having ample parking in Phoenixville is also a huge plus. Mike and the crew at the TBD Bar were nothing short of fantastic, and the party went off without a hitch. Mike's communication throughout the planning process was great. Although we originally planned for it to be outside in the biergarten, his recommendation to move things inside prior to setup saved the day when the weather radar showed some inbound doom and gloom that night. Ultimately it ended up raining hard several times during the party so THANK YOU Mike! It couldn't have gone any better, and everyone had a great time. Also, Tom Guest was the perfect live music for my brother's 50th. He was a great fit!Highly recommend TBD Bar / Root Down Biergarten!

When ordering nachos and asking to hold a food that I'm allergic too, wait staff said "but that's the best part" we clarified it wasn't wanted.Food arrived covered in what I'm allergic to.:/

Usually a great place to bring our dog and relax on a nice day. However, we were treated pretty rudely on Sunday afternoon. With it still being Inside Out weekend in Phoenixville, we had walked down to the Root Down Biergarten from downtown with a couple beers in hand. We still had a few sips left but were almost done and ready to spend a couple hours at your place, but we were told immediately that we can't bring our beers in and we had to leave. I wasn't about to dump or chug it, so we left.We walked across the street to Stable 12 and we (and our dog) were welcomed. We were done with our previous drinks by the time our drink order came. Seriously it was just a few minutes after settling in to finish them and order new ones.

Tonight we ain't got no roots, and as a result, we're motorboating out in the open with Chris and Kellina Holt and their band, The Holts. While they take us down that old dirt road with their silky vocals and enthusiasm ? ???? for the grand old party days, the Broskis are enjoying tasty beef nachos, fried brussel sprouts, and a selection of inspired brews and ciders. #FridayNight #WyndridgeOriginalCider #BineAmericanIPA #DreamMeter #BoroughWideSpecial #Pontoon #NoRoots #TheHolts #RootDownBrewing
