So happy this place is again open for dinner. A menu of burgers, beautiful salads and casual fare. The Bang Bang shrimp taco was AMAZING. Best shrimp taco I’ve ever had ( and I’ve had many!). Excellent fries! Nice selection of beer, wine and select cocktails. Charming stone decor and very friendly service. Don’t miss out on this spot...indoor and outdoor dining plus takeout.
I am usually very underwhelmed for Valentine's dinner, with limited menus and the ushering in and out of customers. Not the case at Stone House! Our experience was a delicious breath of fresh air. Danielle was an attentive and genuinely sincere waitress with her welcoming smile. The food was so good and house made. We started each with a shrimp cocktail that was accompanied with a lemon tangy dipping sauce over greens. Large fresh, shrimp and I could've eaten that sauce alone it was so refreshing and unique. My husband had the prime rib which was a HUGE portion with tasty mushrooms and demi glaze. I had the filet with lobster tail and lobster mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese had a good amount of lobster and a creamy but not heavy cheese sauce. Filet also a good portion size and cooked perfectly, slicing like butter. Then there are Nancy and Bill the owners, each taking the time in a busy holiday dinner service to stop by each table to make sure everyone had what the needed and were enjoying themselves. Nancy even ran out to our car to bring my husband his leftovers that he forgot on the table and then again came back out bringing me an extra special bouquet of roses from the "rose tree". That little bit of welcoming personal dedication goes a long way in wanting us to return, if the food wasn't enough to ( and it was definitely a meal to return for). Thank you for making this a stand out excellent Valentine's dinner for us.
This new gem of a restaurant takes the place of a now closed eatery in the heart of historic Kimberton. My wife and I have been there twice since it's opening in the Spring of 2019. Owners Bill and Nancy have done a remarkable job in reinventing this space in Kimber Hall. Together with their experienced staff they have created a remarkable menu. Both my wife's Shrimp and Grits (special that evening) and my Grilled Bavette Steak were tasty and with ample portions. They also serve breakfast and lunch. It's a byob and rumor has it that they will soon have beer on tap in conjunction with a local Phoenixville brewery. I highly recommend you give this place a try.
What a great surprise! Charming old stone house with friendly efficient wait staff! I had mushroom spring rolls with spicy flavorful sauce. Then I had the NOLA two types of sausage man and cheese! All just delicious! Great serving sizes too!
The 5 of us tried numerous appetizers and entrees. Everything was consistently delicious. The mushroom rolls were great and creative. The anduille meatloaf was surprisingly delicious. NOLA mac and cheese was creative with a complexity of flavors. Service was excellent. Nice to watch the open kitchen. Prices were very reasonable. We will be back.
All organic dining in a vintage American stone building. Very nice menu. 4 stars rather than 5 due to 1 poor fish entre (fish was frozen and tasted like it.) Salads, crab cakes, chicken and spare ribs are exceptional! Highly recommended.
I really love this restaurant. It's cozy and cute. Their pancakes are so good!
My husband and I tried it out this weekend for a casual dinner. This used to be Station Bistro, but apparently changed owners about 6 months ago. I love the interior. It would make a great event space. Rustic and charming and intimate. We were there on a Saturday night and there was live music ... not a band or anything loud just some background music. We both had the burgers. We both agreed that these were some of the best burgers we have had. The burgers are not on the dinner menu, but are offered as options at dinner. The waitress pointed this out to us. My husband had the straight up burger, but i had the SH burger which was a Beef & Andouille Sausage Blend with Asiago Cheese, Roasted Red Pepper, and Bacon, with Spring Mix on a Grilled Brioche Roll (I copied that right from their website :-) The beef and andouille blend was spectacular. I opted for a side salad with their blackberry balsamic dressing. The salad was a nice size, and the burger was hearty. We will definitely be going back and I can't wait to see how the menu evolves. The owner made a point to visit every table.
pleasantly surprised, great little place...food was excellent, service was nice and attentive which made for a great lunch....burgers and the grilled sand. were great.
Over Labor Day weekend I had the opportunity to visit here with some friends. Now I am a typical standard breakfast type person so the menu of healthy and different ingredients had me put off momentarily. I was able to find a selection to suit myself and the other options did sound rather intriguing. The wait staff was very pleasant and worked as a team to interact with the customers. Food was definitely satisfying and we all return for another visit was the consensus. Kudos to the Stone House Grille

Had dinner there several times with my daughter. The food is outstanding and the service is attentive and relaxed. The arancini is perfectly crisp, fresh and very moist on the inside. The yellow fin tuna melts in your mouth and perfectly prepared; the carbonara pasta (have had it 3 times) is exceptional. Saving the best until the last, however....if you are a carrot cake lover, there is none better that I have had anywhere....just great! My favorite restaurant in this whole area.
Stopped in on a week day for breakfast and I ordered the French Toast Soufflé and a side of bacon and husband ordered the Up Benny. I was very disappointed with the serving size of my French Toast, in was on the small size and not that particularly high in height. My husband’s Up Benny was a nice size as he received 2 eggs on English muffin, so we actually ended up splitting each others meal as my dish was not enough for a full breakfast. The Up Benny was good but we’ve had better eggs Benedict at other restaurants. For the price we paid for breakfast, felt it was a little high for what we received. Service was very good as we were the only ones there until we were pretty much finished. We would go back to try their lunch. The quality of food is good, just on the lighter portion size for breakfast.
Very nice ambiance, friendly service, good ingredients and coffee. A little in the expensive side but everything tasted really good and we'll pay extra for organic. I got crab in my omelet but barely tasted it, hence 4 stars instead of 5. Still a very nice dining experience. Breakfast ends at 11am firm!
This is a little out-of-the-way place in Kimberton that has organic food. The menu is not extensive but it is well played for a local breakfast place. The coffee was excellent and I had an omelet that was quite good. My only problem is the location because it sits on the corner of two streets and it's hard to get out of the front parking lot, which I made the mistake of parking in. The back parking lot is a lot more accommodating and easier to get out of so do be aware of that problem. The service was good and the coffee flowed. They were constantly refilling our cups and making sure that we were well serviced. I enjoy the local art around the place and it's rustic nature. it is a little bit out of the way but definitely worth going to if you're in the Kimberton or Phoenixville area.
$8.82 for a hazelnut latte with whipped cream when advertised as $5. The cup was less than halfway full and was more like a hot cup of milk than a latte...
