We were looking forward to eating here on Sunday since we heard good things, So made the trip from Reading (about a 40 min drive) and arrived at 6:10pm just to see that they were closed when they were supposed to be open until 7pm. No reason posted on the website nor change in hours on the google search. Disappointed to say the least.

Our favorite place in Phoenixville! The food is amazing every time we're here. Service is wonderful. And the portions are huge. We always bring home leftovers. Various special nights during the week have multiple courses for a fixed price. Can't say enough good things about Van Horns!

We used Van Horn’s to cater our wedding back in April and Mark did a phenomenal job! He accommodated my husband’s allergies and made sure the food was exactly what we wanted! Everyone keeps telling us how good the food was! Thank you Mark!

This place is always top notch and has the best customer service??. They truly care and make your food with love! As a gluten free person (not by choice), their GF dishes are delicious ?. I’m so thankful I can get my favorite dish with my dietary restrictions.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free

The food safety practices here are extremely concerning. My partner and I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo entree which accidentally came with shrimp. When the entree came to the table we politely sent it back stating we ordered the vegetarian version and do not consume any meat or seafood. We were told the chef was making a new entree and the vegetarian fettuccine Alfredo would be out shortly. When the "new" entree arrive my partner and I had begun eating the dish when we saw tiny bits of shrimp in the sauce. We were utterly shocked. The chef had just picked out the shrimp and served us the same entree again. We notified the server and the server said she would ask the chef to remake it again. However, we asked the dish to be removed from our check and left immediately. Had one of us had a seafood allergy this restaurant could have caused serious harm or worse. Absolutely unacceptable! Everyone, especially those with dietary restrictions, should be aware of the unsafe food practices of this restaurant.

An unexpected find. Every time I have gone the food was excellent. Perfectly cooked and well presented. The menu is diverse from the typical bar food that almost every restaurant on Phoenixville strip, but also has some finer dining options that are well above par. Check it out, it will be worth your while.

Sat outside and it was peaceful and pretty . Food was amazing. I usually don't like cheesesteak eggrolls because they're so greasy. These were perfect. I loved the blackened salmon and my Husband had the Gumbo. We brought half home the portions were so big. Definitely will be back soon.

Go to Van Horns for a different food experience with the safety of something for everyone!!Family of four with two teens went here for a birthday dinner looking for something special, and we found it. It’s not special in a “fancy” way, but in the way that matters most — an interesting menu with plenty of things we had never tried before. But, it also has stalwarts like spaghetti, pizza, and cheesesteaks too. That’s why it seems perfect for families with kids so that the parents can try something new and exciting even if the kids aren’t in an adventurous mood. The food has a Cajun flair to it. I had the steak and it was one of the best I have had in a long while at a restaurant. The Louisiana chicken was also very good. The service was good and the price was not too bad either. All in, the meal was fun and made my special day feel extra special. Perfect!!Now, we can’t wait to go back and sit on the back patio which we have heard so many wonderful things about. It’s BYOB so be sure to keep that in mind.

Love Van Horn's. One of the most slept on restaurants in Phoenxiville. The chef's specials always hit the spot but you also can't go wrong with their comfort food. The outdoor patio is also perfect for spring or summer!

The food was very well seasoned and prepared. The fried burrata was delicious. Our entrees were almost enough for two people and were tasty. I'd recommend reservations as it gets very busy. It's byob.

Excellent as always! We went for the “throw back Thursday French Quarter Bistro “ menu and it was soooo good!! Lobster and andouille in a vodka sauce over pasta for me and blackened chicken special for my husband. Be sure to try the fried burrata from the regular menu as it’s delicious too. We always have great service from Cyrus and Mark, the chef and owner, always makes time to say hello. Easy parking in the church lot right near the restaurant.. We will keep supporting this local establishment, definitely hands down beats any chain restaurant.

This place is amazing. We had dined at French Quarter Bistro for many years and had no idea Chef Mark Van Horn now has showcased his talents here in Phoenixville. Easy parking with across the street or at the church in the other direction, BYOB (with no corkage fee), great service, and just delicious food. We had the lobster tail/mac and cheese special and one of the filet specials and just loved every bite. It came with a wonderful ceasar salad with wasabi dressing and fresh bread with ricotta and hot honey plus a peanut butter Tandy cake dessert. We are so happy we found Van Horns as we love the food and hospitality! We can’t wait to return!

The food was amazing. Service was great. Loved the Cajun popcorn and filet gorgonzola app. Must try while in town.

Old school Phoenixville is back!!! Before Phoenixville was taken over by Sedona and the massive apartment buildings looming over Bridge Street, it was a town of BYOB restaurants showcasing the abilities and creativity of local chefs. Van Horn's is proving you don't need a bar or be a franchise to be great. I went on a Saturday evening with my wife and sister and we had such a great experience that my wife and I went back again the following weekend for takeout. While we were there the first time, the atmosphere was vintage and unique to the point where there was a hole in the brick wall that someone filled with little paper people depicting the inside of their tiny home! A small detail most people would never notice. The waitress was knowledgeable and very prompt and was backed up by her fellow waitstaff if she was busy and a glass needed to be filled or some food was ready. The menu is eclectic - an American theme with a New Orleans twist. We saw a couple splitting a cheesesteak and a pizza, both of which looked amazing. Desiring some more formal grub, 2 of us order entrees and the third a catfish po'boy. The po'boy was a huge hit with light, flaky fish with just the right amount of batter. The grilled salmon over pasta and shrimp with red sauce was an odd combination together, but when eaten on their own were both excellent and came in a portion large enough for at least 2 meals. The standout was the Firecracker Shrimp and Crab! A hearty portion of pasta with at least six large shrimp and lots of crab throughout. Great sauce and abundant flavor but beware of the spice as the zing might get ya!Overall a great dining experience, in a cool old building at an affordable price. If you really want to experience what Phoenixville is all about, grab your favorite beverages and stop in for a killer dining experience.

Ordered a chicken cutlet hoagie and a steak and cheese hoagie and regretted our decision to try this place. The chicken cutlet hoagie came with very soggy tomatoes and two pieces of uncooked bacon. The cheese sauce was all over the hoagie and you couldn’t even see what was on it. The steak and cheese hoagie was not steak, it was roast beef. The fries were good, but not “shoe string” as advertised. Overall, we will not be returning.
