Awesome little stall located within Fifth Avenue Place!Plenty drink selection and I can't wait to try everything. Owner/barista was super nice and was great to talk to!

Laid back atmosphere, friendly baristas and really good coffee at decent prices. Great music selection.

This place cares about the quality, real homie/family group. The best espresso I've tasted. Kind, decently priced and you can tell they care about the drink they're making

Seriously good coffee by people who care.

21st Street used to be the standard by which all other Pittsburgh coffee shops were judged, but as of late (since around when the original Strip location closed) it seems to have fallen into mediocrity. The shop often seems dirty and unkempt, and there's an air of depression around the place. Despite this, they're one of the few shops in Pittsburgh brewing Intelligentsia, and their baristas are better trained in pulling a good shot of espresso than most other coffee shops. But with the decent crop of new coffee shops downtown that take their coffee fairly seriously - all with prices nearly half of 21st Street - it's hard to find a good reason to come here anymore. Yinz can do better!

I must preface this review with - I wouldn't call myself a coffee snob or connoisseur by any means, however, I know the difference between disgusting, blah, good and DOWNRIGHT AMAZING. This little shop classified as the latter and I can't tell you how happy they made me. Considering that the weather was quite brisk on this Saturday morning and I was in the mood for ALL THE COFFEE, finding this gem on Yelp was just what I needed. I have to be honest about the location - it's tricky! We stopped a few people and finally figured it out. It's hidden in the back of the building and it doesn't really look like anything is there, so just keep asking passersby if you need to - there should be no shame in your coffee game. Thanks go out to the man cleaning his windows at a restaurant nearby! My latte was STUPID good. Like I would have drank four if I wasn't afraid of tachycardia or something. Cinnamon bun latte I think it was called? I am already SOLD on cinnamon in coffee, so BOOM, I'm dead there... and then the flavor was just absolutely golden. Not too sweet (see, I'm not a cream and ten sugar kind of girl) but just a hint that it piqued your taste bud sensations in such a satisfying way. The interior was small, super quaint, super hipster vibe - just felt like the place I needed to be consuming caffeine. Highly recommend if you're wanting local and in downtown Pitt!

Was down town on a Saturday morning and decided to give this coffee shop a try. It was of the few place open so definitely a plus. The inside is very cozy and nice, while pretty tiny. There were only a few tables but it definitely had it's own charm. I feel like this place is best for just yourself or yourself and a friend. Not great for a big or even medium group. The barista was super friendly. He was the only one working and had a large group he was making drinks for when I entered. He politely told he'd take my order shortly. I was in no rush and don't mind waiting for a good cup of coffee. They have a straight forward and short menu which I think emphasizes there commitment to making quality coffee. My latte was pretty good but a little pricey. I will definitely be back to try more of their menu!

Stopped in to see if I could post up here while I was waiting for my bus home, but I just thought this place was okay, and the atmosphere wasn't super welcoming. It was about 1pm, empty, and the employees behind the counter seemed pretty disinterested. I ordered one of the iced teas which was good, but like I said, I didn't really feel like I wanted to sit around for a while sipping on it just because of the atmosphere. Also, seating is kind of sparse and I didn't see any wifi. I'm sure the coffee is good, but probably not the best place to camp out and get work done.

Once upon a time, this was a fantastic coffee shop with excellent coffee and knowledgable baristas; an all-around great place to go. My last visit made me a very sad man. The shop was dirty, the coffee tasted stale, and a feeling of depression filled the air. It's sad that a shop that used to differentiate on high quality has me wondering today why I would ever want to go back.

This has to be one of the best coffee stops in Pittsburgh. It's small on the inside but provides outdoor seating. Their menu options are somewhat limited compared to a commercial chain like Starbucks, but the drinks they do make are excellent. The one downside has to be the price. $8+ for a 12 oz Almond Milk Latte is a little steep, so this would never be a place a go on a regular basis. However, if you want to treat yourself, it IS the best latte I've ever had. The additional charge is because they make their almond milk, and, trust me, it's incredible.

First and last time. Ugh! I thought to give this place a try but talk about unwelcoming and OVERPRICED! And my Chai Latte sucked! Pic attached with my coffee cup for scale. This little guy was approx $5.50 and tastes like crap (IMO) it's very watered down and not the usual robust feel of sipping on Chai. It might help if the barista was actually welcoming. There were only two people in the shop outside of the workers. You'd think they could crack a smile. Don't waste your time or money!

They really have the best coffee in the city and they know how to brew it. I miss them being in the strip and wish I could find them in another location.

I am a coffee addict and has ingested the noble brew across the USA. Never have I tasted anything as wonderful as the cup I had here in this tiny shop. It was simply a cup of Intelligensia from somewhere far away. Michael ,the barista ,handed it over with a tiny flagon of cream. Watching Michael work was a symphony. He prepared the most exotic coffee creations and the simple pour overs with the same exacting care. I was not surprised to find he was a cellist who believed every order should have a perfect timing and tone.

This was my first time visiting this store and I must say that I like it! The staff were friendly and helpful! There is a limited menu but the staff were more than ready to share their suggestions for what to try as it was my first visit! The coffee aroma in the air and the cafe vibe had my taste buds tingling. I ended up getting the iced mocha made with chocolate milk! Oh my goodness was it delicious! It was the perfect blend of coffee sweetness. The only downfall for me is that the prices are a little high for the size of the cup that you get, especially with tons of other competitiors around town! I may be returning for a treat every now and then!
