The few people I met were wonderful to chat with. The drinks were strong and we had a wonderful time. The entertainer was very funny and the Bartender was what I'll say... Delicious. I'll definitely will be back when I am visiting Ohio again!

I usually participate in some Friday night Fun. I chose to grace this establishment August 2nd (Saturday). I was expecting the typical feel good music that I could sing and dance to. To my utter horror, I was met with and EDM nightmare. I don’t know the words to EDM music. There are no words. Regardless, the vibe was heavily damaged. I savored the sweet juices of any song I recognized. Though I will be returning, I pray to God that there will be normal music.

First and only time I've ever been here. Was visiting friends and they brought me to trivia night. That was a fun experience.
All I had was chicken nuggets and water. The person who took care of our table was very attentive. Never let the glass go more than half empty. The chicken nuggets were a bit overdone but they fortunately had some honey mustard sauce that I put on that made it taste better. It wasn't terrible, but it was a bit dry and the sauce helped that a lot. (I have a 5 year old's pallet.)
Everything else about 5801 was great.

Larry the bartender is so great! He's always friendly and makes great recommendations for food and bev. The environment he creates is so welcoming and warm.
It's a great neighborhood (and gayborhood) hang bar with just the right mix of cozy spots to chat, different events like trivia and darts, drag shows and a good weekend dance vibe.

They claim to have only two restrooms (one women’s and one men’s) which results in, quite literally, a half an hour- long line. Also, neither appears to be ADA-compliant. Pittsburgh building codes require a minimum of one ADA-compliant, gender-neutral restroom for every 50 occupants, and there were FAR more than 50 people in the bar when I went… so this begs the question WHERE ARE THE OTHER BATHROOMS, HUH?

I don’t think I’ve ever had a bad time at 5801! And the greatest part is the staff!! From the servers, food runners, bartenders, security, DJs, performers and Drag Queens this place NEVER ceases to provide an incredible time! The food is not “just bar food”, it is DELICIOUS! (Even sober! 🤣) Their cocktails are delicious and service is always friendly and usually SUPER fast (unless they’re slammed- and then the length of time is trying to get through the crowds because everyone loves this place!) Larry has to be one of my favorite employees (YOU MUST TRY “LARRY’S MUSTARD” 🤤)🖤🏳️🌈

My girlfriend and I came here at around 6 PM, so that may have impacted our experience (for the better!) but I found it to be a nice place with low-key vibes, decent old-fashioned bar food, and good drinks. I appreciated that the music was loud enough to hear and enjoy, but not so loud you can't hear the people around you. Felt welcome and accepted by the bartender and patrons - someone bought us all shots and someone else complimented my outfit. Nice place to vibe at the end of a busy day.
