Excellent "Middle Eastern" food. Great hummus, and best kufta I have had since Doha.

One thing which is always missing is honesty I went there with 2 of my friends and I asked politely before sitting down how long it will take since we had presentation later. They mentioned around 25 minutes. And it took them 1 hour 20 minutes to serve. If you serve me fresh food after lying to me and making me wait instead of that you can just say sorry it might take a while how hard is it to say that.. As a time sensitive person I will appreciate that more than anything.

Great food, generous portions. Brought my own wine and cork fee was low. Nice server. Prices were very reasonable.

Everything was incredibleby dry. Grape leaves barely warm with hard rice. Kafka sandwich so dry I continued to cough while eating. Was going to order lamb sandwich before i found out it was pre rolled and not fresh. Probably would have been better in hindsight. 45 minutes to get food. Thought we were forgotten about multiple times. I cannot imagine anyone going to this place twice. Daughter-in-law was buying dinner so I did not want to complain but I would have not spent a dollar for what we were served.

A true gem in North O. I've been here a couple times and decided to stop in tonight after craving Syrian/Mediterranean food. Family owned since 1972 so you know the food is good if it's been around for that long! I love the ambiance in here - it's so calming yet warm on the inside. The light fixtures and the art in the back wall add great touches to the vibe. I wanted to try something new so I got the lamb sandwich $11, which you can add fries for a couple more dollars too. I really liked it and the white sauce it came with but nothing beats the main entrees they offer. There's a couple draft and bottle beer selections but no other alcohol. Not sure if they're BYOB but I did see a couple who seemed like regulars that brought their own bottle in, I'd call to confirm!

I had a terrible experience after I was chased down by the employee because I didn't tip. First of all tipping is OPTIONAL!!! Second of all how dare he chase me and my friend and try to intimidate us into tipping. I would like to emphasize it was dark and we're college students by ourselves in the store so you would imagine how scary the situation was for us. The man literally chased us out the store and wouldn't let us go until we tipped. This should not be acceptable and I am honestly disgusted by the treatment we received. Additionally the service was terrible before we even paid since he spilled some of the food he was serving us and didn't even APOLOGIZE, clean it up or try to replace our order. I am a person who tips when it's deserved and it was definitely not a deserved service. Be mindful of the service you provide and think twice before demanding tip. Shame on you.

This place has a great reputation around town, so I was excited to go there recently for a dinner with my wife. We enjoyed our meal, had no wait around 6pm on a Friday, and service was fast and friendly. The food was hit or miss. The shish kabob dinner was kind of disappointing. First it came with a tossed salad, which was pretty lame; all ice-berg lettuce with like three little tomatoes and slathered in dressing. The lamb was nicely cooked and tasty but there were only five small pieces. The meal also came with a small-ish and very plain side of rice. All in all, just not exciting enough for their most expensive dinner option. On the other hand, we really liked the veggie trio, which allows you to choose three of their vegetarian dishes for sharing. It was a large plate of food and a great variety. We got mujaddara (lentils with caremalized onions on top), sleek (kale simmered with black-eyed peas), and baba ghanooj. We got a basket of pita with this dish. All were very wholesome and filling for vegetarian options; the caremalized onions on the mujaddara were particularly delicious.

Had a great dinner. We had the stuffed eggplant and the lamb shank, and they were both very good.

My date and I split a bunch of appetizers and salads. Mujadara, sleek, tabbouleh, mohamara, baba ghanooj, hummus, and artichoke hearts.Flavors, textures, freshness, variety were all exceptional. The use of spices in the dishes was exceptionally well done. Not overpowering, but not subtle. The presentation beautiful. The tabbouleh was fresh and crisp, tomatoes firm and fresh, the parsley not overpowering, and too bitter. The mujadara was earthy, the mohamara was a complex mix of sweetness and tart.Based on appetizers alone, I would love to come back and try an entree. Lots of options for vegetarians or vegans. The interior was clean and elegantly simple interior. The appetizers sampler of 3 appetizers for 15-16 was a great value. Two of them combined perfectly to give a lot of option and was perfect for the two of us.

My favorite is BabaG. The amount was amazing and tasted great with a smokey note.Shower, the disappointment was that I'm accustomed to eating it warmed and pignoli nuts with oil in the middle. Also looked at the spinach pie but they are premade with onions of which I have a sensitivity to onions.Good experience overall.
