Overall was disappointed. Hype without substance. Of course the Pittsburgh skyline view is spectacular; with the Duquesne Incline as an extra treat. The service was good but at this price point the waiter should not need to be reminded to bring things. He also had us questioning if he knew we were still there he'd disappear for so long. The restaurant tries way too hard to be upscale with attempts to be showy and memorable albeit failed. In their efforts to be fancy, they try serving dishes simultaneously but it was clunky and each course came out at a glacial pace. Moreover, it was haphazard as to what was worth the wait. Meatball appetizer was exceptional; yet the filet mignon was cooked incorrectly, cold and wasn't melt in your mouth delicious. The scallops were awesome yet everything else wasn't worth coming back for. Truly let down by the experience and would never consider returning. Just visit the Incline or Mt Lebanon vistas to appreciate view. There are other establishments up here that will always deliver delicious food, as well as, the view.
Recommend Valet ($9) or Uber.

Fantastic all around. One of the best views of the city. Could use a few more beer options for those who aren't into wine 🍻
We got married this weekend and then had our dinner the next night here. The service was amazing. They make sure everyone gets their food sat at the exact same time having multiple staff assist when needed. Gave small tapas plates from the kitchen complimentary built into the service and split the soup for us so we both could try it. Johnny was excellent waiter, he was funny and a bass player so we got a long great. He made the experience fun and enjoyable while giving enough space that we could enjoy our evening. This is the best restaurant in Pittsburgh, no question about it.

Went for my girlfriend's birthday, noted that on the reservation. The hostess who seated us and the server both wished her a happy birthday without me mentioning it other than what was noted on the reservation. Arrived about 15 minutes early for our reservation, got seated about five minutes before the reservation time. I made sure to ask for a window table when we checked in as it said to do on the website (you can't just request it on the reservation). They were able to accommodate the request, but I assume this is mostly luck of the draw with what comes available first. I appreciated the accommodation, nonetheless, since a big part of the appeal was the view. The servers were very attentive without being overbearing. We had an appetizer, entrees, and dessert. The food was excellent.....all of it! They also brought a little chocolate tart-type dessert with a candle in it for her birthday, which was really nice. The only thing I'd say is if you get there too early for your reservation and they can't take you right away, there isn't a ton of space in the bar area to sit and get drinks. Small bar area and one shared counter space without much privacy. Not something I really cared about since that's not what I was going for. The place was a little out of my normal wheelhouse for price range and what I'm used to, but I didn't feel robbed. Absolutely got what you paid for as far as quality of food, service, view, and atmosphere. I wanted a memorable night for my girlfriend and this place delivered. Would recommend for a special occasion or if you're trying to impress a date or out of town guest.

Probably one of the worst dining experiences we've had in Pittsburgh since we moved out here from San Francisco 3 years ago. Aside from the marvelous vista, the food really doesn't exceed the standards of a roadside diner, yet commanding a $80 for a ribeye steak!! The aspiring chef -more like a cook- is clueless about haute cuisine and how to merge basic flavors. The problem as I see it here is the lack of higher standard culinary competition around the city which prompts similar ventures to advertise this as fine dining. Hoping this honest review will spur the establishment to push for higher standards to justify the menu prices

Among the top 5-6 restaurant meals that I've ever enjoyed! My wife, son and I ate at Altius several years ago while visiting town, and all of us loved the food and atmosphere. In fact, we haven't had a restaurant meal that's come close since. The food was spectacular, as was the view. The vibe was upscale without being pretentious, which added to our enjoyment immensely. We'll definitely be returning on our next visit to Pittsburgh.

It is our go to restaurant for special occasions. Menu is creative and delicious, and service is always extremely good.
Our birthday dinner was wonderful. The food was excellent. Lamb Chops, Salmon , and Chicken. All entree's were perfectly cooked. The service went above and beyond for the 2 people we were dining with for dinner. They are dairy free and the chef did their dinners and even their bread dairy free. Johnny our waiter was attentive and patient. Can't say enough about this restaurant. Can't wait to go back. We went on a Monday night and they were crowded.
The cook on the protein ordered was way off- it took 3 attempts and my spouse was done with his meal by the time #3 arrived. The table we were sat at had little to no view of the city skyline. Our server was nice but the rest of the staff was lifeless. Theres better places in the city for special occasions, especially for the price.
